Speaker Pelosi Wasn’t Paying Attention During Sunday Mass

Pot, meet Kettle.

In a recent news story that surprisingly wasn’t written by the satirical Babylon Bee, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said that it is sinful to protect babies from the violence of abortion. Yes, you read that correctly.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve been utterly stunned by Speaker Pelosi, a self-described Catholic, and her lack of compassion towards the preborn as she uses her influence to advocate for the abortion lobby.

During her Women’s Equality Day speech, the Speaker said:

“The fact that this is such an assault on women of color and women — lower income families is just sinful. It’s sinful. It’s wrong that they would be able to say to women what they think women should be doing with their lives and their bodies. But it’s sinful, the injustice of it all.”

Does the Speaker believe in women’s equality for female preborn babies? Clearly, they are excluded by her terms. As Speaker Pelosi looks at the issue of abortion as an injustice for women, Students for Life of America (SFLA) recognizes the injustice against defenseless babies – over 63 million who were aborted during Roe’s disgraceful ruling – and those who are women hurt mentally, physically, and emotionally from abortion.

Furthermore, if Speaker Pelosi is concerned about racial disparities, she should consider the Black community who is heavily targeted by Planned Parenthood which was founded by known racist, Margaret Sanger.

Toni McFadden, Pro-Life Activist & International Speaker, said that Sanger and Planned Parenthood have “historic racism,” and the “continued violence and injustice against the Black community is targeted by the billion-dollar Corporate Abortion franchise.”

Speaker Pelosi should also consider that while African American women only make up 13% of the female population, they are 38% of all reported abortions. In addition, 4 out of 5 Planned Parenthood vendors are within walking distance of minority-dense neighborhoods.

Even the abortion lobby think tank Guttmacher Institute reported that the abortion rate for Black women is “almost five times that for white women.” Clearly, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry at large are no friends of minority communities, and Speaker Pelosi should recognize that.

The Speaker’s priorities are also misguided as she advocates for later use of risky Chemical Abortion pills and spreads falsehoods to women – making them believe they can only succeed if they abort their preborn child.

Women deserve better than what the abortion lobby offers, and the preborn certainly are owed more. Has she forgotten about the commandment, “Thou shalt not kill?” Maybe Speaker Pelosi should have been listening better during Mass.
