Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) Christian Schools Project celebrates DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, for disbanding a pro-abortion group we’ve been watching over the last year.
Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGA) at DePaul University was a student organization directly affiliated with Planned Parenthood. According to the group’s website, they “are a reproductive rights advocacy group with the goals of bringing comprehensive and inclusive sex education to the DePaul University campuses and keeping abortion safe, legal, and accessible in our communities.”
The group’s mission and affiliation with Planned Parenthood is bad enough, especially on a Catholic campus. Their Linktree includes information about emergency “contraception,” the Ryan Center (an abortion provider), and an interactive map on accessing abortions after Roe v. Wade’s reversal.

But they took it one step further this semester by advertising a campus event called “PillowTalk: BDSM Sex Ed.”

The event never happened, due to DePaul University administrators disbanding the group on June 3, 2025, stating, “All future scheduled reservations and events are also canceled.”
A post on the group’s Instagram account states, “On the evening of June 3rd, PPGADPU leadership and faculty advisors met with DePaul University administrators on their club organizational status. At the beginning of the meeting, shortly after introductions and without negotiation, DePaul stated that effective immediately, our group would be disbanded and would no longer be able to host any events and must cease all operations.”
DePaul University released a statement that all student organizations cannot be affiliated “with external groups that are not consistent with the university’s Catholic and Vincentian identity.”

Thankfully, DePaul University is finally seeing what we have for years: Planned Parenthood’s terrible influence on Christian campuses.
However, DePaul University still has some work to do. The following pro-abortion events occurred in 2023 and are still on the school’s website:
- The university hosted a symposium on March 1, 2023, with topics on Chemical Abortion Pills to include pro-abortion speaker Radhika Rao, who wrote articles on abortion/cloning/assisted reproduction/etc.
- The school hosted a pro-abortion play, “Vinegar Tom,” performed February 10-19th, 2023, claiming “This production depicts abortion, sexual violence, torture, blood, and execution by hanging.”
Since 2019, SFLA’s Christian Schools Project has removed 91 schools’ ties to Planned Parenthood. Our next round of research will be published in August 2025. Sadly, our research has already uncovered several new schools affiliated with Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. We hope that by August, DePaul University will choose its Catholic, life-affirming values over the abortion industry.
We have contacted DePaul University administration since 2023 to no avail. Help us encourage them to fully honor their Catholic and Vincentian heritage by asking DePaul University to remove these events here.
There’s more work to be done on DePaul University and campuses nationwide. However, victories like these bring the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) one step closer to kicking Planned Parenthood and abortion rhetoric off Christian campuses for good.
