The Pro-Life Generation’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement (IPA) released their latest installment of the Christian Schools project last December. This research initiative focused on highlighting the relationship a Christian college or university may have with Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. 767 Christian institutions were thoroughly researched for this project, and upon completion were given letter grades from A+ to F based on the findings of the Strategic Initiatives team. However, some schools went above and beyond. 

Christian schools play a major role in shaping the worldview of their students and it’s crucial for them to send a powerful message about their values and views regarding the sanctity and protection of life.  

Since Roe v. Wade was reversed, Christian schools have increased abortion support by 10%. It’s more important than ever before to know clearly where Christian schools in America stand. This projects aids in fostering a life-loving and life-protecting culture and ensuring Christian colleges and universities are a trustworthy haven for the Pro-Life Generation. 

It’s important to Students for Life of America (SLFA) to address women’s health concerns, and we don’t need Planned Parenthood and abortion facilities to do it. StandingWithYou.org continues to be a keen resource in providing safe, abortion free solutions to women in need. In fact, several schools list Standing With You on their health resources page instead of Planned Parenthood, earning the institution an A+ letter grade.  

By Christian schools’ public willingness to promote life affirming values, it demonstrates that they have a clear, unapologetic stance on abortion that aligns with Biblical principles. Schools that have vague stances or are blatantly pro-abortion should be held accountable, and students who hold Biblical values deserve to know the truth about the college, school, or university they are considering or already attending.  

While 90% of the 767 Christian schools researched were found to have a letter grade of A or A+, the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement will continue increasing that percentage and ultimately kick Planned Parenthood and any abortion supporting facility from Christian colleges and universities across the nation.  

The IPA team contacted all institutions that received an A letter grade to congratulate them on upholding their Christian Values by supporting the sanctity of life. To be considered an A letter grade institution, colleges and universities should not have any of the predetermined infractions: 

• Listing Planned Parenthood as a health resource. 
• Providing internships to students connected to pro-abortion centers. 

While some schools appreciated and accepted their good standing, other institutions went above and beyond and inquired how they could receive the highest grade. These are the types of institutions Christian students should be seeking out when making education decisions. An A+ letter grade is awarded to an institution that, while not having ties to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, they affirm their pro-life stance by doing one or more of the following: 

• Having internships and/or partnerships with their local pregnancy help center. 
• Referring students in need to the local pregnancy help center by making the information easily accessible on the online health resources page. 
• Promoting Standing With You for students on campus or at home.  

The Pro-Life Generation’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement (IPA) would like to highlight and commend the following institutions: 

1. Central Christian College of Kansas 

2. Dallas Baptist University 

3. Viterbo University 

4. Holy Apostles College & Seminary  

Once these institutions were notified of their A standing for the 2023 edition of the Christian Schools Project, they chose to make additional improvements to their online resources, ultimately upgrading their prior letter grade to the highest standing; an A+.
