Students for Life of America (SFLA) previously reported in 2023 that even though California allows abortion up until birth, not all Beverly Hills residents are enthusiastic about late-term abortion. In 2025, the fight continues, as abortion zealots seek to open an ‘all-trimester’ abortion business that was previously disallowed by Beverly Hills officials, who are now seeking thousands in legal fees.
Before DuPont Clinic, a preborn slaughterhouse in California that commits abortions beyond five and a half months, was set to open, they were seemingly “shut down.” They brought a lawsuit against Beverly Hills, claiming, according to SFLA’s Caroline Wharton, “the city ‘colluded and conspired’ with pro-life activists to force the business out. Lawsuit claims include that city officials, including the mayor, pressured the building landlord to back out of the lease, held clandestine meeting with anti-abortion groups, and made promises that the city ‘would stop DuPont from opening.’”

Fast forward to 2025, and a pro-abortion coalition dedicated to preborn death presented only 660 signatures to “settle” their lawsuit with the city during a protest on Tuesday, March 18. According to the Los Angeles Times, Beverly Hills officials are fighting back, insisting they’ve done “nothing wrong” and seeking $400,000 in legal fees for their troubles.
We’re glad that Beverly Hills officials are standing up for preborn citizens and for the many Californians who believe that late-term abortion, up until the moment of birth, is just a bridge too far.
Westsidetoday.com reports on the multiple pro-abortion organizations: “The protest, led by the bhforchoice movement, included representatives from the California National Organization for Women (CA NOW), Feminist Majority, the California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom (CCRF), Los Angeles Guild for Reproductive Health, Heart of LA Democratic Club, Santa Monica Democratic Club, Hang Out Do Good (HODG), and the Women’s Political Committee (WPC).”
In their petition, they reportedly call pro-lifers “terrorists” and “extremists,” writing, “DuPont was the victim of a strategy to destroy legal access to reproductive health care by radicals dedicated to subverting the law. People who need the reproductive healthcare DuPont offers will be victims too. Don’t let this be your legacy. Don’t be the tool of extremists.”

Translation? They’re fine with killing babies at any stage of development and they’re angry they didn’t get their way on this one.
However, it doesn’t seem like most of the city is on board. 660 signatures are a miniscule amount. According to the 2023 census data, Beverly Hills has roughly 40,000 residents. This means that about 1.65% signed on, which isn’t exactly an overwhelming amount of public support.
Time will tell what happens next, but we hope Beverly Hills continues to hold the line for their preborn citizens and resist abortion supporters’ plea for limitless abortion.
