My name is Reagan Pullium, and I am a Thaddeus Stevens Fellow with SFLA’s National Leaders Collective. I will be graduating in May from St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Louis, Missouri, and plan on attending Hillsdale College in the fall.
I first became involved in the pro-life movement in seventh grade when I joined the Pro-Life Club at Villa Duchesne. I traveled to Washington, D.C. in 2022 for the National Pro-Life March, and it was here that I first learned about Students for Life. After my freshman year at Villa Duchesne, I transferred schools to St. Joseph’s Academy, where I joined the Respect Life Club. At the end of my junior year, I was elected president of the Respect Life Club after serving as the club’s communications chair.
My first project during my time in the National Leaders Collective was a diaper collection, which fulfilled the Supportive Service Pillar of Student Activism with Students for Life. This took place during the first week of October, intentionally timed to coincide with Respect Life Month. In the weeks leading up to the collection, I made efforts to ensure that every member of my school community was informed about the drive through flyers, assembly announcements, and word of mouth. I assembled a group of 10 volunteers to arrive early each morning during the drive and stand outside with signs at drop-off locations as a reminder to parents of younger students to donate diapers.
This was the second year of running the diaper drive, and collection numbers almost doubled — we went from collecting 3,000 diapers the first year to over 5,000 diapers and 50 bottles of diaper cream the second year. Unfortunately, even with something as noncontroversial as a diaper drive, the pro-choice population still found ways to complain about my efforts. They called the Respect Life Club anti-woman and misogynistic, and complained that the club promotes forced birth without caring about the child afterward. The irony of this situation is that these girls were doing nothing to help women choose Life, whereas the Respect Life Club and I were actively supporting women and children post-birth by providing them with essential resources.
My second project fulfilled the Public Policy Pillar of Student Activism with Students for Life. On April 25, 2026, I spoke at the St. Louis March on the Arch as one of the main rally speakers. I shared my experience as a Thaddeus Stevens Fellow with SFLA and spoke about the importance of passing Amendment 3, which will be on Missouri’s ballot in November. The feedback I received from this speech was encouraging and motivating; many people voiced their excitement about how promising the next generation of pro-lifers is looking to be in the coming years.
As a Fellow, I have grown immensely throughout this past year. The biggest challenge I faced was balancing the responsibilities of the Fellowship, Respect Life Club, lacrosse, and my other extracurricular activities along with school. The Fellowship — especially Chloe — taught me the importance of delegating tasks to other officers so that I could avoid burnout and so that operations would run more efficiently.
After completing the Fellowship, I plan to continue my pro-life activism as a paid intern with Missouri Congresswoman Ann Wagner’s office. In the fall, I will attend Hillsdale College, where I will join the campus pro-life group and continue advocating for the pro-life movement in my future political endeavors.
