“First, one Democrat-appointed Parliamentarian whittled down Congressional funding cuts from ten years to one year.  And now, one Democrat-appointed judge has decided that taxpayers are forced to be in business with the nation’s largest abortion vendor, Planned Parenthood. The Trump Administration must keep fighting to overcome this manipulation,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “It’s time to start impeaching rogue judges.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (07-29-2025) –Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins made the following statement, after news that Judge Indira Talwani of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts has now released an order requiring ALL Planned Parenthood abortion vendors to be funded by taxpayers: 

Hawkins said: “If Judge Talwani wanted to develop a federal budget, she should have run for Congress. Instead, young voters are witnessing the kind of judicial tyranny that inspires and enrages the same voters who supported President Trump, along with Republican majorities in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate, so that Planned Parenthood & Big Abortion would be eliminated.  Planned Parenthood’s version of ‘healthcare’ kills their patients. With so many Federally Qualified Healthcare center options, mothers and their children – born and preborn – can do better.

“The judge’s 58-page order reads almost like a love letter to Planned Parenthood, with pages of talking points about their abortion and contraception business with the pretense that women have no options but the nation’s number one abortion vendor. But they do, and it’s interesting that the judge’s complaint about Federally Qualified Health Care centers isn’t that women can’t get contraception there – they can – but that they also provide ‘services such as primary care, dental care, and/or mental health care.’ What a bizarre complaint, that patients can get full-service care and not just what Planned Parenthood sells. The judge politicizes her arguments with pages of observation of Congress’ actions to cut funding to abortion businesses, something many voters want. 

“But the judge makes a big mistake in contending that Planned Parenthood is likely to win, so keep the money coming. The Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that South Carolina can choose not to fund Planned Parenthood. We look forward to seeing this case fought to the end.”

During the hearing for this case on July 18th, SFLA team members and volunteers engaged in protest at the Supreme Court, where the case will likely end up. 

At that time, Hawkins said: “The hypocrisy of the activist left’s ‘No Kings’ protests isn’t lost on us because it’s clear that they don’t really mean it. They just want an ‘imperial judiciary’ to rule rather than hearing from duly elected leaders. We must stop letting judges usurp the will of the people. It’s time to talk about impeaching insurrectionist judges,”  said Hawkins, adding that abortion vendors claiming patients would lose good service is “a joke on the American taxpayer.”  

She continued: “Not even the New York Times thinks Planned Parenthood is good at their self-appointed job. Planned Parenthood has fewer than 600 locations compared to more than 19,000 alternatives through Federally Qualified Health Centers and look-alikes. The difference between the two is full-service care. One offers healthcare to all, planning for all patients to survive their visit. One offers death by intentional abortion, first and foremost. Never forget that Planned Parenthood could keep all the federal money if they gave up committing abortions.”
