Ever since Étienne-Émile Baulieu, the father of Chemical Abortion Pill, died last week at the ripe age of 98, Planned Parenthood and abortion fanatics have mourned his death like the abortion version of a world-famous humanitarian (no irony there).
“A pioneer,” Planned Parenthood says of Baulieu in their forlorn LinkedIn post, dubbing him a “champion of freedom, dignity, and choice.” The New York Times also put out a dramatic eulogy-esque piece honoring one of the abortion industry’s biggest “heroes.”

For an organization that butchers babies, it’s no surprise he’s Planned Parenthood’s top-tier pioneer. A communist in his early days, he became a doctor in 1955 and earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry in 1963. In 1980, he finally concocted the ultimate chemical weapon against preborn children – the Chemical Abortion Pill.
Even more chilling: the same company that created poisonous gas for Nazi death chambers also produced the Chemical Abortion Pill. As Students for Life of America (SFLA) reported on our “This is Chemical Abortion” educational site, “Baulieu worked to develop the Chemical Abortion Pill, also known as RU-486 (because it was the 38,486th molecule developed by the French drug developer Roussel-Uclaf, which had ties to Nazi Germany).” (emphasis added)
If that wasn’t enough to make abortion zealots swoon, Baulieu not only dehumanized preborn children but even asserted it should be a “crime” to say that “the very early interruption of pregnancy” is “killing a baby, morally or physically.” A man who prided himself on science should’ve known that 96% of biologists agree that human life begins at conception.

Of course, anyone who’s not morally bankrupt can see that Baulieu was no Mother Teresa. “Thanks” to Baulieu, millions of preborn children never had the chance to live to 98 as he did. They will never get an opportunity to take their first breath. Under the euphemistic guise of freedom and science, he helped the abortion lobby strip away preborn children’s right to Life by selling toxic pills to their mothers, harming both them and their babies.
Because of Baulieu’s persistence in getting the pills on the market, more than 1 in 10 female patients will “experience at least one serious adverse event,” according to a new study from the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) titled “The Abortion Pill Harms Women.” This includes sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, hospitalization, ER visits, cardiac events, pulmonary issues, and more.

So much for helping women; if we’ve seen anything over the last 40-plus years since the pills’ invention, it’s that it was never about health, freedom, or choice – it was always about death and pushing women to forsake their children for an empty, deceptive promise.
A few days after his death, the Pro-Life Generation remembers Baulieu not for his acts for humanity but for his crimes against humanity. While we’ll never be able to undo the deaths of millions of preborn lives he helped kill, we won’t stop fighting to abolish abortion, ensuring that no preborn child ever dies from this sinister concoction again.
