Scottie Scheffler may have teed up a major win at the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Championship on Wednesday, May 18th, but it’s his one-year-old son Bennett who’s stealing hearts on the green. Nothing says ‘dad goals’ like juggling golf and toddler duty.
He even took Bennett everywhere with him after winning the tournament, including the clubhouse where he signed his scorecard. Scottie only put Bennett down after he realized signing the scorecard was a two-handed ordeal.
Check out some of these photos and videos of Scottie and Bennett after the win:
While much of the spotlight falls on career wins, one of sport’s biggest names chooses to spotlight fatherhood instead.

From post-victory fairway strolls with Bennett to press moments that melt hearts faster than a putt downhill, Scottie proves that the real trophy is the little in his arms after sinking the final putt. He’s not just crushing drives—he’s mastering dad life, one diaper and birdie at a time.
That commitment to family isn’t just for the cameras. Last year during the Masters golf tournament, Scottie also said he would leave the tournament if his wife went into labor and was “ready to go at a moment’s notice.”
His wife didn’t go into labor, and he ended up winning the tournament on April 10th, 2024. Bennett was born about a month later, on May 8th.
“I think the first child wins … over many things in my life,” Scottie told Golf.com.
He’s also highlighted the challenges of diaper duty and leaving the home without Bennett, showing that he prioritizes his family and fatherhood more than golf.
And while the cameras may follow Scottie Scheffler for his swing, it’s his quiet convictions that speak volumes.
In a world where many public figures often avoid taking any kind of stand for Life, Scottie and his wife Meredith sponsored an event hosted by the pro-life group Council for Life in 2023—a powerful indication that his belief in the value of Life doesn’t end at the 18th hole.

There are even more photos here from the event with Scottie.
Scottie sends a clear message: no trophy compares to the joy of holding your child. And in a world that needs more men to step up and lead with love, his example couldn’t come at a better time.
