After President-Elect Donald Trump’s decisive presidential win, voters remained unmoved by the abortion industry’s plea for more abortion extremism. That doesn’t mean, however, that sects of young voters aren’t still deceived by abortion propaganda.
Fast forward to two days later, abortion extremist students at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) formed a mob around Students for Life of America (SFLA) Spokesperson Lydia Taylor Davis during her “Abortion is Violence” fall campus tour.
As students chanted “abortion on demand!” as if they were asking for faster cable rather than killing children, they attempted to drown out Davis and respectful abortion-leaning students who wanted to have an honest debate and discussion. Instead of “caring for women,” as many pro-abortion supporters claim, an angry student spit at Davis, and one student stole fetal models and tore up SFLA event flyers. Thankfully, security was there to catch and arrest him.
The online threats were abundant, calling Davis an “evil bitch, encouraging people to “push her to the curb,” wishing her pain and death, and more despicable names, which are hardly civil arguments, but rather unfounded and unintelligent attacks.
“It’s never a shock when these incidents occur, but it’s a stark reminder of why I’m doing this tour in the first place,” Davis told SFLA. “There are many students who want to have a respectful conversation, as well as students who lean pro-choice but stand against abortion extremism, as evident by the results of the election. However, students who purposefully break the law, vandalize our property, and physically spit at us prove the point of my tour without me saying a word: abortion is violence, and radical abortion supporters can resort to violence or inappropriate behavior themselves.”
This isn’t the first time SFLA has encountered wild protests at VCU. During SFLA President Kristan Hawkins’ “Lies Pro-Choicers Believe” 2023 spring tour with Isabel Brown, pro-life speaker and podcaster, they visited VCU, where ANTIFA showed up.
Despite Antifa’s intrusion deemed “not a reasonable security threat” and students and staff being harassed and allegedly assaulted throughout the evening, this didn’t deter Brown and Hawkins, who later went BACK to the campus.
However, the hot political climate doesn’t faze Davis. Some students who respectfully debated Davis were educated by her arguments, specifically debunking bodily autonomy because a baby deserves their own bodily autonomy and also sharing the fact that biologically human life begins at conception. In light of this new information, they admitted they learned something new, which the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) loves!
“We’re grateful that VCU police ensured our safety and the safety of those who wanted to participate in a civil discussion,” said Davis. “One pro-life man worked through the mob and thanked me for being here. All these protestors are communicating to me and my peers is that the pro-abortion movement is not a movement of love: at the end of the day, it’s filled with hatred of the preborn, which spills out to those who defend their lives in the womb. We hope bystanders watching on campus or our social media can clearly see that.”
Davis will make one more stop at Winthrop University on Thursday, Nov. 14, to complete her tour before the holidays.
