Dear Karen, Chemical Abortion Pills Don’t Empower Women – They Endanger Them

Coerced and forced abortions in China are unsurprising given its oppressive regime and one-child policy, but thanks to CVS and Walgreens making Chemical Abortion Pills as accessible as their prescription acne medication, more women will fall prey to forced abortions by evil and abusive men here in the United States: a nation that supposedly stands for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What used to happen under America’s nose is being thrust into the spotlight by none other than CVS CEO Karen Lynch. She fit all the abortion-lover’s buzzwords into one statement during a CBS interview, remarking:

“As a company, our north star is that we support women’s health and that we are committed to making sure that women have access to reproductive health services, education, and FDA approved products. So that’s the decision we make because we know women need access to health.”

WATCH:

Set aside the fact that FDA’s approval of mifepristone is being challenged at the U.S. Supreme Court. CVS’ own mifepristone directions blatantly lie, reading:

Rarely, serious medical problems can occur when a pregnancy ends, including sometimes fatal infections and bleeding. Read the Medication Guide, read and sign the Patient Agreement, and consult your doctor if you have any questions.”

If they consider “rare” being frequently reported physical complications, as previously detailed by SFLA, then the sky is down, and the ground is up. Ingrid Skop, M.D., FACOG, vice president and director of medical affairs for Charlotte Lozier Institute, has over 30 years of experience as an obstetrician-gynecologist. Her findings conclude the following:

“Chemical abortions performed with mifepristone and misoprostol are associated with frequent complications,[10] requiring surgical completion for failed abortion in approximately one in twenty women when used according to the FDA’s protocols.[11] “

Now imagine the threat of physical harm isn’t merely accessible to doctors, but to despicable men looking to avoid responsibility and force abortion.

One such disturbing case comes from Gig Harbor, a 42-year-old nurse who put Chemical Abortion Pills into his pregnant mistress AND patient. Fox 13 Seattle recounts the horrifying details:

“According to court documents, she told a deputy that she and Coots were having sex on Jan. 27 when he put his fingers into her farther and harder than normal, and that Coots was acting strangely afterward. She said after he left for the night, she noticed a pill fall from her vagina.”

In a follow-up article Fox 13 Seattle reported, “The situation escalated when the victim sought medical assistance at an emergency room and underwent a rape kit examination. In the aftermath, she claimed to have received intimidating messages from Coots and his wife, Melissa Marie Coots, threatening repercussions if she spoke to the police.”

This isn’t the first report in recent times. Mason Herring drugged his pregnant wife’s water with the Chemical Abortion Pill, which caused premature labor. The baby lived was born 10 weeks prematurely and barely weighed over three pounds. His sentence was a measly 180 days and ten years of probation.

These are only the stories that we’ve heard of. This doesn’t account for the sexual abusers who force abortions on their victims. A recent study by the Charlotte Lozier Institute reports that, “Sixty percent reported they would have preferred to give birth if they had received more support from others or had more financial security.”

There is a perceived coercive factor by women who’ve had an abortion. It stands to reason abortion coercion and force will increase as mail-in pills rise and as CVS and Walgreens dispenses these dangerous drugs.

Tessa Longbons, Lozier’s senior research associate and a co-author of the study, stressed how abortion is not healthcare, but a silent wound women carry.

“We tend to think of abortion coercion in countries with oppressive regimes like China. In fact, this shocking hidden epidemic is happening all around us,” Tessa stated. “Mail-order abortion pills remove the doctor from the room and make it easier than ever to force abortions on women and girls who do not want them – their distress compounded by the sight of their baby’s clearly human body. Countless women suffer in silence under the guise of ‘choice,’ when they never felt like they truly had one.”

So no, Karen. This isn’t health care or choice for women. This “access to health” puts them in more danger, and your company’s “north star” is a paradise for abusers.
