Abortion Supporters are Flooding This Pro-Life Tip Line with Porn

In May, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the state’s Heartbeat Act (SB 8) which bans the abortion of a baby after his or her heartbeat can be detected. This law is special as it allows citizens to hold abortionists accountable for violating the law (which they almost certainly will). To that end, Texas Right to Life created an anonymous tip form through which people can report infractions.

The page reads:

SB 8 requires an abortionist to use standard medical practice to detect the preborn child’s heartbeat before an elective abortion. If the heartbeat is detected, then the abortion is prohibited. A heartbeat is generally detectable around six weeks of gestation.

If the abortionist is acting in bad faith or does not properly document the method and results of the heartbeat detection the law is violated. Individuals who aid or abet an illegal abortion can also be sued under SB 8.

SB 8 is unique since enforcement is in the hands of private citizens. The Texas Heartbeat Act calls upon citizens to hold abortionists accountable to following the law. Any Texan can bring a lawsuit against an abortionist or someone aiding and abetting an abortion after six weeks. If these individuals are proved to be violating the law, they have to pay a fine of at least $10,000.

Abortion supporters are not known for their eloquent defense of abortion. At a rally years ago, Students for Life team members had human excrement thrown at us. On the west coast, abortion supporters whacked us with jump ropes. On a college campus, a student protested a Students for Life display by leering at us from across the room wearing a giant vagina costume. Name-calling, threats, vandalism… The list goes on and on.

So it’s extremely unsurprising that abortion’s staunchest warriors have opted to protest this law and tip line by flooding it with porn (apparently, heavily featuring Shrek), fake tips, and other trash.

We’re forcibly reminded of the virtual graduation ceremony Students for Life of America held for seniors during the height of the pandemic which was “Zoom bombed” by abortion supporters with (you guessed it) porn and Nazi imagery.

The actual act of killing innocent human beings is not defensible, so it makes sense that abortion’s supporters turn to immature lash-outs, personal attacks, and even violence instead of dialogue. But that doesn’t make it any less disappointing to witness each time it happens.
