WASHINGTON, D.C. (02-24-2026) – On Monday, Students for Life of America (SFLA) kicked off its spring campus tour featuring Dr. John Bruchalski, a former abortionist turned pro-life, as well as Students for Life’s own Faith Elwonger, a pro-life advocate and mother.
From its very beginning, the abortion industry has thrived off lies—most notably, that abortion empowers women, especially those who are low-income or minorities. Yet after more than 50 years of abortion on demand, it has become clear that abortion has not helped communities thrive. Instead, it’s contributed to devastating generational loss, with estimates suggesting 1 in 3 Gen Z-ers are missing because of abortion.
Where did we go so wrong?
The “Do Women Need Abortion?” tour addresses some of the most common myths about abortion, including the myths that:
- Abortion is safer than childbirth, especially for black women.
- Abortion is part of comprehensive health care.
- Abortion treats a disease.
- Abortion and miscarriage are the same.
- Chemical abortion is safe, private, and medicinal.
- Consciousness determines personhood.
- Women need abortion to succeed.
The tour will address those myths from both medical and cultural perspectives, confronting the abortion industry’s lies with the truth: Abortion hurts women, period.
Tour stops include locations in red states and blue states alike, with the tour kicking off in California before moving to Texas.
Below are the confirmed stops for this tour, with more to come:
- Stanford – 2/23
- UC Berkeley – 2/24
- UC Davis – 2/25
- Texas A&M – 3/24
- Rice – 3/25
- University of St. Thomas – 3/26

PLG includes Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), that together make up the nation’s largest, pro-life youth organization, managing a grassroots political and policy operation engaging Americans of all ages but with a special emphasis on the largest segment of voters — the Youth Vote. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, PLG/SFLA/SFLAction serves more than 1,400 groups on middle, high school, college, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. Our team has more conversations with this generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world, each week reaching more than 4 million across social media platforms and averaging 1.3 million video views. In addition to SFLA/SFLAction, PLG leads multiple initiatives to lead and serve the future of the pro-life movement including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement . Over more than 17 years, PLG CEO Kristan Hawkins has grown the operation into a nearly $20M organization, now preparing for an abortion-free America.
