Americans don’t like U.S. Chemical Abortion Pill policies — and new polling proves it. The new national survey by McLaughlin & Associates found that more than seven in 10 American voters say a doctor’s visit should be required before a doctor can prescribe Chemical Abortion Pills.
You don’t say!
Well, that common-sense sounding preference was actually the policy until the abortion industry took over the FDA during COVID and got the rules reversed. Now, Chemical Abortion Pills can be ordered online and shipped anywhere in the country.
Here’s what the poll found, as reported by Catholic News Agency:
The McLaughlin & Associates poll of 1,600 participants found that 71% of voters approved of a proposal “requiring a doctor’s visit in order for the chemical abortion drug to be prescribed to terminate an unwanted pregnancy.”
The poll also found that 30% of voters had “significant concerns” about the safety of Chemical Abortion… and those voters have reason to be concerned, because a massive review of data this year found that one in nine women who take the Chemical Abortion regimen end up in the ER with severe adverse events, like hemorrhage and sepsis.
The current Chemical Abortion Pill policy in the United States, which was changed during COVID, allows the pills to be sold…
- Without a doctor’s visit
- Without an ultrasound to see how far along the baby is
- Without a blood test to see if the woman is rH negative, which can affect her future fertility
- Without verifying her identity to ensure she’s not a child, or a man, or a pimp…
And current federal policy allows the pills to be mailed…
- Straight to the home of whomever is ordering it
- Into any state, even where abortion is illegal
- Across state lines, even though this violates the Comstock Act
Some pro-abortion states will even legally protect abortion drug peddlers who ship Chemical Abortion Pills into states where abortion is illegal. We expect that from pro-death states like New York and California. But the rules around whether and how Chemical Abortion can be prescribed, monitored, and distributed are under the control of an administration that claims to be pro-life. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is under President Trump’s power.
Yet, despite the data about the harm this Chemical Abortion Pill regime is doing to women, and despite the public opinion showing a majority want common-sense protections, and despite the fact that many pro-life states have outlawed abortion and yet cannot do anything to stop the mail-order influx of drugs across their own borders, the federal government is moving at a snail’s pace in reviewing the data, and at the same time it recently approved a new generic of the Chemical Abortion Pill.
There’s no excuse from a human dignity perspective, a women’s health perspective, or a legal perspective to allow abortion drugs to fly across the country unchecked. Go to ThisIsChemicalAbortion.com to learn more and find out how you can get involved.
