In a case that has stunned the University of Kentucky community, authorities have arrested 21-year-old Laken Snelling, a senior and cheerleader at the university, after the body of an infant was allegedly discovered hidden in her apartment closet. The investigation, now underway, has raised difficult questions and left many on campus seeking answers in light of this disturbing news.
But for those of us who track such horrific stories, we hope that police are looking into whether illegal Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking is part of this story, especially as pro-life protections in place in Kentucky limit abortion for the most part except to save the life of a mother.
Here’s what we know:
Incident Unfolds in Campus Apartment
Local media reported that Lexington police responded Sunday to a call at an off-campus apartment complex. Upon arrival, officers allegedly discovered the body of an infant concealed inside a closet. According to police reports, the child was wrapped in a towel and placed inside a black trash bag.
The precise circumstances leading to the baby’s death remain under active investigation. However, Snelling told police she gave birth to the deceased baby, according to reports. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office is conducting a thorough examination to determine the cause and time of death, as well as to clarify whether any medical intervention was attempted following the birth.
In a recent TikTok post from Snelling, motherhood strangely enough was listed as one of her life goals.
Suspect in Custody: Charges Filed
According to the New York Post, Snelling has been charged with abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering, and concealing the birth of an infant.
At this time, it is unknown if Snelling used Chemical Abortion pills, but it’s worth investigating whether Chemical Abortion Pill pushers got involved.
Kentucky is one of the states to truly champion Life- adopting a “Heartbeat Bill” in 2019 that forbids abortion if a heartbeat is detected and only allows the act if the life of the mother is truly in danger, which is rare.
Where Wildcats go from Here
It is imperative that we build a culture of Life, starting on our college campuses. That is after all how our organization came to be. If a student is pregnant, they should feel encouraged and welcomed to choose Life, always—every single time. At the University of Kentucky, we have a chapter: The Pro-Life Wildcats. They were formed to counter efforts from the abortion lobby that is making way on our college campuses through trafficking Chemical Abortion Pills and other agents to extinguish Life.
For pregnant and parenting students, there are life-saving resources and groups listed at Standing with You, where you can find how more about who is ready to help you. LIFE is a choice you can make, and people will stand up for you and your child.
