So far in 2025, thirteen Planned Parenthoods have closed

This year is shaping up to be very bad for Planned Parenthood, and I couldn’t be happier about it. In the last few weeks, Planned Parenthood has announced the closures of three more facilities. For those keeping track, that brings the total so far in 2025 to thirteen closures nationwide.  

In the first quarter of this year, we saw the closures of ten Planned Parenthood locations that break down as follows: 

• 4 in Illinois 
• 4 in Michigan 
• 1 in California  
• And Planned Parenthood‘s flagship location, the Margaret Sanger Center on Bleecker St. in Manhattan, New York  

Now, THREE more have been announced:  

• 2 in Utah
• 1 in Vermont 

Planned Parenthood stated the following about its Vermont closure:  

“Among all of our health centers, St. Johnsbury operates with the greatest financial loss … due to the lack of health care professionals, the lower patient volume.”
 

Apparently, the center also flooded three times in the past year (sounds like divine intervention to me.) 

Planned Parenthood is blaming the two Utah closures on President Trump’s Title X  partial funding freeze, which has paused $2.8M to their affiliates. Watch this episode of The Kristan Hawkins Show for the full scoop on what’s happening with Title X.

To put that $2.8M “funding freeze” into a little bit of perspective, Planned Parenthood national chose to spend $135M on elections from 2020 to 2024, according to their own statements.  

Maybe Planned Parenthood should have thought of its own facilities before throwing all its national funding at the feet of political candidates who couldn’t ultimately save them from their own failure. 

Meanwhile, these Planned Parenthood closures are ramping up quickly, and they are entirely Planned Parenthood’s own fault.  

After years of financial mismanagement, botched procedures, abuse of their employees, Medicaid fraud, prioritizing politics over patients, and focusing like maniacs on committing more abortions instead of providing actual healthcare, Planned Parenthood is finally having to face the consequences of its own actions. And that means it is unable to balance its own budgets and keep its own facilities open.  

It is not YOUR problem or MY problem, as U.S. taxpayers, to bail them out. 

And to be clear, these closures ultimately have little to nothing to do with President Trump.  

I’ve seen reports claiming that facilities are closing because of Trump’s minor funding freeze on a handful of affiliates while the Administration examines Planned Parenthood’s compliance with a couple of Trump’s executive orders.  

Honestly, I wish the President were more invested in Planned Parenthood’s closures, because if he took decisive action against Planned Parenthood, they’d be closing at a much more rapid pace right now than they are. 

If you read their own statements, Planned Parenthood itself is not even blaming their closures entirely on Trump. 

Instead, the closures that are happening are the result of years and decades of inept management and utter moral corruption on Planned Parenthood’s part.  

And amidst all this great news about Planned Parenthoods closing, we’re eagerly awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision on Medina v. Planned Parenthood, which could empower many more states to remove Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid funding and truly rid pro-life states of the Planned Parenthood cancer.
