As the 2024 election reaches its final stretch, the news cycle continues to run at the speed of light, so you may have forgotten Mark Cuban’s comments on smart women, implying that REAL smart women support Vice President Kamala Harris and her abortion extremism.  

The reality is that the pro-life movement has been led by smart women, including Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) own Kristan Hawkins, and for very good reason. The facts and compassion remain on the side of Life.

Smart Women Know Abortion is NOT in the Constitution  

Though pro-abortion media outlets, like the 19^th Amendment, claim that abortion is a constitutional right, as podcast host for SFLA Christine Yeargin “investigated” in a recent video, the right to kill preborn children is found nowhere in the constitution.  

If anything, the U.S. Constitution DEFENDS preborn life, giving them the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as seen in Section 1 of the 14^th Amendment:  

“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” (emphasis added) 

A person’s a person, no matter how small. This includes women.

Smart Women Know that Defending Preborn Lives Means Defending Preborn FEMALE Lives  

Modern-day feminism claims that abortion is necessary to reach the fullness of “girl power.” However, they often overlook that abortion kills preborn women in the womb, who, if given a chance at life, could be incredible mothers, community leaders, scientists, artists, you name it.  

Sadly, their need for abortion “empowerment” oppresses vulnerable women, the opposite of what the original feminist movement in the United States was all about. Instead, they spew hatred towards the preborn and women who stand up for them.  

Smart Women See the Evidence for How Abortion HURTS Women Emotionally and Physically  

It’s not just SFLA’s opinion that abortion hurts women physically and emotionally, even causing death. Take a quick glance at how Chemical Abortion Pills, over 60% of abortions, affect women:  

• National Library of Medicine on risk of death and injury: “Significant morbidity and mortality have occurred following the use of mifepristone as an abortifacient.” 
• Family Research Council on reported adverse effects: “The data clearly shows the negative health consequences of chemical abortion on women. Between 2000 and 2021, a total of 4,207 adverse events related to chemical abortions were reported to the FDA. These events include 26 maternal deaths, 97 ectopic pregnancies, and 1,045 hospitalizations.”  
• Healthline on physical symptoms: “Other risks, though uncommon, may include: incomplete abortion, blood clots in the uterus, infection, fever, diarrhea and digestive pain, allergic reactions to the medications.” 
• AidAccess (Chemical Abortion Pill provider) on physical symptoms: Heavy bleeding, fever, and severe pain.  
• Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons on Mental Health: Women who have abortions are 81% more likely to experience the mentioned mental health issues. 

There are even more studies and research to show that Chemical Abortion Pills don’t empower women.

Smart Women Want Clean Drinking Water and NOT Cemeteries in America’s Sewers 

The rise of Chemical Abortion Pills in retail chains and mail means more forever chemicals from Chemical Abortion Pills are tainting our drinking supply. Mifepristone, the first of a two-drug regimen for chemical abortion, can affect Americans through drinking water. This can cause reproductive issues, developmental issues or delays in children, increased risk of cancer, natural hormone interference, increased cholesterol, and obesity.

Smart Women Know Late-Term Abortion DOES Happen 

Even the media is finally reporting that late-term abortions take place, despite Harris’ claim to the contrary.  

The Atlantic told the truth in a recent article, “Yes, Third-Trimester Abortions Are Happening in America,” writing: 

“Representatives from the CDC, the pro-abortion-rights Guttmacher Institute, and the anti-abortion Charlotte Lozier Institute told me that national data simply aren’t available. But Colorado, which is home to clinics that perform third-trimester abortions, recorded 137 third-trimester abortions in 2023. That’s only one state—eight other states, plus Washington, D.C., have no restrictions on third-trimester abortions.  

Those who support such expansive abortion laws tend to argue that third-trimester abortions are the result of a devastating medical diagnosis. In many cases, that’s true, but it is not always the case. The D.C. clinic I mentioned above confirmed by phone that it performs abortions for any reason.” (emphasis added)   

Not only does Harris support late-term abortion, but her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, reportedly allowed eight babies to die after a botched abortion, equaling infanticide.  

Smart Women Don’t Trust Celebrity Endorsements for Abortion: They Look at the FACTS 

Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Sally Fields, and Chrissy Teigen: They may have catchy song lyrics and play dynamic characters, but this does not mean they wield the facts.  

Smart women know that Life begins at conception, that every life is valuable, and that abortion hurts women. This 2024, SFLA encourages every woman and man to vote pro-life FIRST.
