STUDENTS FOR LIFE OF AMERICA CENSORED 180 TIMES IN 24 HOURS. REQUIRING AN EQUAL NUMBER OF APPEALS

“After ABC News moderators hypocritically ‘fact-checked’ former President Donald Trump during the Presidential debate, including the false claim that late-term abortion is nonexistent in America, TikTok has joined in covering it up,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “While they allow abortion lies to propagate freely on their app, Tik Tok banned Students for Life of America’s account for telling the truth about late-term abortion, censoring us more than 180 times in the last 24 hours. Clearly in this election, whether it’s ABC News or Big tech, the abortion lobby wants free speech for themselves and silence from those who disagree. If you won’t ‘shout your abortion,’ then shut up, says Tik Tok.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (9-17-2024) – On the same day Tik Tok appealed their U.S. ban in federal court and the day before “National Voter Registration Day,” Tik Tok suppressed pro-life voters. The Chinese-connected company banned Students for Life of America’s (SFLA)TikTok account after exposing a Colorado late-term abortion vendor in what the CEO of Pro-Life Generation (PLG) Kristan Hawkins calls a “blatant and hypocritical free speech violation by Tik Tok, a platform that props up abortion and pro-abortion influencers while silencing pro-lifers who tell the truth about late-term abortion to the young women most targeted by the multi-billion dollar enterprise.”

To see what bothered those running Tik Tok, WATCH ON YOUTUBE:

Most recently, SFLA videos have been focused on exposing late-term abortion as the mainstream media and Vice President Kamala Harris deny that the horror exists. SFLA spokesperson Lydia Taylor Davis recorded a phone call with a Boulder, Colorado, abortion facility asking if she could get an abortion at 30-weeks (almost seven months) into pregnancy. Without hesitation, the person who answered the phone immediately confirmed the abortion vendor could do such a radical abortion. With no reason provided by TikTok, SFLA’s account was fully banned, a situation sadly all too common.

Thanks to the pro-life movement’s quick action of demanding accountability from Tik Tok, SFLA’s Tik Tok account was restored within 24 hours, though our late-term abortion videos are still being heavily censored.

“Tik Tok has been quick to silence us,” said Davis. “Our content has been censored more than 200 times, sometimes without Tik Tok even giving us a reason. Tik Tok, consumed by a mostly younger generation, is clearly full of pro-abortion lies designed to convince young people that abortion won’t hurt them or that it represents ‘women’s rights.’”

SFLA appealed numerous video violations in the past 24 hours.

“While getting our account back puts one in the win column, censorship still exists on Tik Tok and other social media platforms,” said Hawkins. “More than 200 censorship instances of our account seem to indicate a clear bias towards SFLA, while shielding the abortion industry from the fact check on their deadly late-term abortion business. If Tik Tok wants to operate as a champion of free speech, then allow it on the app, or get off altogether.”

SFLA and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) don’t just talk about our free speech rights; we use them and are willing to fight for them in court. Recent examples include:

  • Recent commercial buys exposing Harris and Walz’s record of supporting infanticide by airing them in Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New Hampshire, as well as digital ads running in Arizona, Florida, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, and North Carolina. Others may be added as the project continues.
  • SFLA’s Abortion Extremism Mobile Billboard Truck tour across the country, educating the American public on radical late-term abortion initiatives in key states such as Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, and South Dakota.
  • Hawkins and Davis going on campuses for to speak the truth about abortion, including “No Abortion, No Exceptions” and “Not Your Body, Not Your Choice.”
  • State mobilizations across the country, including Arizona, Florida, and Missouri.
  • SFLA team member was arrested after chalking “Black Preborn Black Lives Matter” weeks after D.C. Mayor opened the streets to public expression. The case is not yet finished.
