GUEST POST: Following a difficult selection process by Students for Life of America (SFLA) in picking the top ten National Pro-Life Chalk Day submissions, the Pro-Life Generation has spoken, and the top three winners are in! We think you’ll agree that these were well-deserved wins — so without further ado, here are our three finalists:
First Place: New Mexico State University
In first place, the Students for Life at New Mexico State University created stunning chalk art depicting a pregnant mother and her child surrounded by colorful flowers. Various fetal development information is also scattered around the flowers, indicating significant developmental milestones that occur within the womb and help us to understand their humanity. Encouraging banners above and below the mother also remind onlookers to “Love Them All” and that “Life Begins at Conception.”
The Students for Life at NMSU group will receive a $100 Amazon gift card as their prize.
Second Place: Fort Hays State University (FHSU)
The FHSU Students for Life group beautifully created a butterfly above the thoughtful message “Every Life Matters.” This simple phrase powerfully embodies what the pro-life movement stands for using just three words. Short and sweet!
The FHSU Students for Life group will receive a $25 Amazon gift card and up to five free t-shirts from the SFLA Shop.
Third Place: Greenwood Homeschoolers 4 Life
This group’s impressive chalk art showcases the unique value of the preborn person by highlighting that they are indeed “More Than Just a Choice!” In a world where the abortion lgreobby wants to the right to kill while framing it as the “right to live,” the pro-life movement needs to stand up — like this group did — and remind society that preborn lives are so much more than a choice. Each one is unique, unrepeatable, and incalculably valuable.
The Greenwood Homeschoolers 4 Life group will receive a $15 Amazon gift card and up to 3 free t-shirts from The SFLA Shop.
SFLA is always struck by the commitment of our student groups around the nation every National Pro-Life Chalk Day as they take the time to make such beautiful testimonies visible for onlookers. A big thank you to all those who participated — we look forward to seeing your submissions for a chance to win next semester!
