I am woman (whatever that means); hear me cluck. – the Abortion Lobby 

If you listen to the Left, motherhood and what it means to be a woman are merely social constructs, and one of Biden’s appointees recently added a barnyard twist to this baloney. The Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine (a man living as a woman) praised a “gender identity clinic” which is encouraging substitutionary terms for “mother,” including one that sounds a whole lot like a chicken. Here’s what you need to know: 

According to a report by the Daily Caller, Levine visited Alaska earlier this month, and his first stop was at Identity Alaska, a gender identity clinic which he heavily praised. In a tweet showing pictures from the visit, the caption read, “These inspiring people work tirelessly to create a more equitable future, where all those living in the U.S. have equal access to lifesaving medical care.” 

What does this “inspiring” and “tireless” work include? Lecturing the American public to ban the word “mother” in favor of a more politically correct, poultry-esque term: egg producer. 

Here’s a fun challenge for today: call your own mother up and start the conversation off by referring to her as ‘egg producer.’ Let’s see how that goes over. 

Other terms suggested by the facility as seen in their lesson guides for how to erode our culture through language include “gestational parent,” “birth parent,” or “carrier.” According to the guide, using such terms will help to “highlight and challenge oppression in current and historical science practices.” 

Some may consider the neutering of these words as inconsequential, but this is yet another example of the erasure of women and their uniquely beautiful ability to grow and bear children. Right up there with the bizarre term “chestfeeding,” this is yet another attack on the facts of life — just like how the abortion lobby likes to claim preborn children are just a “clump of cells.” 

Yes, they are a clump of cells; aren’t we all that and so much more. Yes, women produce eggs, carry preborn children for months, and give birth to them…but we are so much more than that, as well. 

It’s important to recognize that this is not just a rejection of truth; it’s also strategic dehumanization. When abortion supporters allege preborn children are no more than parasites or meaningless pounds of flesh, they purposefully deceive our culture into perceiving them as something other than a human being — because then abortion’s A-OK. When those same voices decry motherhood, they purposefully do so in order to erase the loving, maternal connection between Mom and children — because then child exploitation (through abortion and “gender affirming care,” among other things) is A-OK.

Don’t be fooled into believing this nonsense isn’t dangerous. In our work to protect the preborn and families, the Pro-Life Generation must push back on the radical idea that women are just like Rhode Island Reds, running around and laying eggs. Motherhood is much more meaningful than that.
