“The Pro-Life Generation is not going to allow virtue-signaling pharmacy CEOS to hijack our corner drugstores into becoming distribution centers for death-on-demand without a fight,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “Chemical Abortion Pills pose a huge threat to our communities, and our nationwide network of young pro-life activists will be standing up together to say ‘no abortion in our backyards’.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (02-20-2023) – In wake of the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) recent decision to allow pharmacies to become certified to carry Chemical Abortion Pills, Students for Life of America (SFLA) is hosting a nationwide pro-life webcast entitled “Abortion Pill Emergency.” The webinar will take place virtually through Zoom on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. EST to train the Pro-Life Generation on how to stop the explosive expansion of abortion through local pharmacies.

Webinar speakers will include SFLA President Kristan Hawkins; Students for Life Action (SFLAction) Vice President of Media and Policy Kristi Hamrick; pro-life author and speaker, Toni McFadden; CEO Elect of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists Dr. Christina Francis; pro-life pharmacist Ernie Cyr; and more.

The main topics covered by this webinar will include how Chemical Abortion Pills work and their harm to women; the reduced regulatory oversight and increased use of these pills; SFLA’s unique, environmental contribution to the fight against the life-ending drugs; how individuals take action; and personal testimony from post-abortive women who used Chemical Abortion Pills.

SFLA has firmly denounced mainstream pharmacies’ decision to carry Chemical Abortion Pills and protested at Walgreens Headquarters on February 14th with a “Cancel Abortion Cartels” Rally; to read media coverage of the recent event, click HERE. On Saturday, March 4th, SFLA groups across the country will also be participating in National Protest Day at their local Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid pharmacies to tell leadership to stay out of the abortion industry.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization and a political and policy operation engaging people of all ages. Together they work to end abortion — the human rights issue of our day — and provide political, legal, and community support for women and their children, born and preborn. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, SFLA has more than 1,300 groups on middle, high school, college, university, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. SFLA creates strategy, policy, and programming to connect those most targeted for abortion with people ready to help and builds a framework for political engagement on their behalf. SFLA and SFLAction have more conversations with those most targeted by the abortion industry than any other pro-life outreach in the world, reaching more than 2 million people across social media platforms each week and engaging in approximately 100,000 digital conversations per month. Over more than 16 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA into an $18 million organization preparing for a Post-Roe America.
