Democratic Lawmakers Send Letter to FDA, Willing to Risk Women’s Lives by Allowing Abortion Vendors to Make a Quick Sale of deadly Chemical Abortion Pills, says Hawkins

The FDA should keep patient protections as their priority, rather than accommodating politicians who are helping their mega-donor, Planned Parenthood, make a quick profit at women’s expense,” said Students for Life of America/SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins.

WASHINGTON D.C. (02-09-2021) – Following a report by Politico that “Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are asking the Food and Drug Administration to lift rules requiring people seeking medication abortion to obtain pills in-person,” Students for Life of America/SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins made the following statement:

“For years, the abortion lobby and their political allies have tried to bully the physicians and scientists at the FDA into dropping health and safety standards designed to protect women from the dangers of Chemical Abortion Pills. Selling deadly pills without any protections for women would make it a lot easier for abortionists to profit from selling death, but it won’t help women who have died, been harmed and suffered the loss after being exposed to the drugs. The FDA should keep patient protections as their priority, rather than accommodating politicians who are helping their mega-donor, Planned Parenthood, make a quick profit at women’s expense.”

Students for Life of America, as part of its on-going work to alert women to the many harms of Chemical Abortion pills, has resources available at ThisIsChemicalAbortion.com.

Students for Life Action has also been a leader in opposing California Attorney General Xavier Becerra to be confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services, in part because of his misuse of political power in taking pro-life people to court, and for attacking health and safety standards at the FDA also related to Chemical Abortion Pills.
