The 2024 Presidential election is shaping up to be one of the most consequential in our life-time – and for the Pro-Life Generation, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Much has been said on this website about how Joe Biden is the most rabidly pro-abortion President in a generation.
His campaign is going all in on expanding abortion in 2024 to nearly limitless levels across multiple states. By putting abortion on the ballot through signature collection campaigns and ballot initiatives, the Democrats are poised to ensure that protections for preborn lives are undone or hard to implement going forward. We saw what they did in Ohio in 2023.
So far in 2024, three states have confirmed abortion will be on the ballot:
- Arizona
- Florida
- Maryland
New York’s ballot initiative was put on hold due to a recent judicial ruling, while South Dakota and Missouri are currently reviewing submitted signatures post deadline. Six additional states are still collecting signatures.
Earlier in 2024, SFLAction worked to prevent abortion from getting on the ballot, turning voter education and legislative activism into victory in Maine and New Hampshire, where abortion ballot initiatives were stopped. SFLAction is planning additional grassroots activism and ad spend in key states this fall.

The abortion lobby and their corporate funders rely on signature collection campaigns and ballot referendums, because of the way they’re structured. Containing confusing language that’s unfamiliar to average voters, they are often written in a way that deliberately hides what they’re trying to accomplish. And for abortion, that could mean the complete and total removal of restrictions.
Sadly, many people can be duped into signing onto one of these pro-abortion campaigns. But thanks to Students for Life of America (SFLA) there’s a way to undo it. We have recently launched AbortionBallot.org, which contains state-specific instructions on how to get a signature removed from one of these campaigns.
We also provided an overview below, for fast reference.
