Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins hit the road this week for her fall campus events, and the media is already starting to take notice. 

Hawkins is currently traveling the country to eight different university campuses with a pitch to students: “Feminists Lied: Prove Me Wrong.” 

This is the first ever campus event series run by Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Turning Point USA (TPUSA). Together, SFLA and TPUSA are challenging students to consider whether the narratives of feminism were all they were cracked up to be — including the harmful messaging promoting abortion. 

According to Hawkins, those talking points were harmful lies, and the media is making note of this daring undertaking.

The organizations say that the campus tour is aimed at challenging “the claim that feminism and ‘reproductive rights’ have helped women more than they’ve harmed them.” 

“There’s a lot of young women who have bought the lies of the second wave and third wave of feminism, and are actually walking around hurt on college campuses unaware of where the pro-life movement really stands with women, all that we do to serve women and families facing unplanned pregnancies and beyond,” SFLA President Kristan Hawkins told Fox News Digital.

“That’s why we’ll see so many young women — despite having all the things that the early, second-wave feminists told women that we needed to achieve in our world — despite having all of those things, we are still very unhappy,” she [Kristan Hawkins] said. “Depression rates, anxiety rates, SSRI use are through the roof with young women. And so, they’re still deeply hurting despite being told that they have everything that they needed to have.” 

. . . “You can kind of just see the shock on their face, because no one has asked them the radical question of, ‘Is your life meant for anyone besides yourself?’” she said. “I would think that’s a very standard question, but it’s not in today’s world. You know, asking a girl a question of what gives your life value? Where does your value come from? They’re not answering that question. That’s why we need to be honest.” 

SFLA is determined to change the laws and culture that take the lives of preborn children in abortion, neglect the wellbeing of mothers and women, and fight to protect truth. We will not stop until abortion is unavailable and unthinkable.
