While pro-life pregnancy centers and peaceful protestors from Students for Life of America (SFLA) are being targeted with malicious prosecutions, abortion vendors are barely making headlines as they butcher preborn children and injure women.

A barbaric abortionist who left the remains of a preborn child in a woman’s womb after a botched abortion has agreed to a settlement of an undisclosed amount to avoid the legal turmoil that would have come his way.

Keith Reisinger-Kindle of Equity Clinic in Champaign, Illinois, proved how dangerous abortion is for preborn children and mothers. He was “accused of puncturing her uterus and leaving part of her unborn baby’s remains inside her body during an abortion performed when she was around 22 weeks pregnant,” as reported by The Christian Post.

The woman, who goes by “Jane Doe” in legal documents, went to Reisinger-Kindle for a second-trimester abortion in April 2023. Following the abortion, Doe called Reisinger-Kindle’s office complaining of cramping and heavy bleeding. She was told this was normal and to take pain medication.

However, her situation was anything but normal. Doe called again when she felt pressure and struggled to breathe, according to court documents.

“The call was transferred to [Reisinger-Kindle] but there are no additional notes documenting his discussion with the patient, if any,” court documents state.

The woman’s symptoms continued to worsen. She experienced constipation that wouldn’t cease with medication, which further increased her abdominal pain.

Doe was advised to use an enema, visit urgent care, or go to the emergency room; she chose the latter of those options, only to find out in the ER at Indianapolis Hospital that half of her preborn child’s remains were still inside of her, and there was a hole in her uterus.

Operative notes from the hospital revealed the graphic details. The Christian Post reported:

“The patient was found to have half of a deceased pre-born human being in the right pelvis of the patient with evidence of severe and intentional trauma,” the operative note states. “The baby’s body was transected at the pelvis with no legs or feet present.”

“Stumps of both femurs extended from the soft tissue of the torso. The upper extremities were missing from elbow distally on both sides. The skull was crushed and no brain was present. The face was nonrecognizable…There were small bony fragments in the mother’s pelvis,” the document continues.

The operative note also described a hole “in the posterolateral inferior aspect of the right uterus,” stating that it was “approximately the size of a quarter to half dollar.”

“There was baby skull that was adherent to the patient’s ileum,” the note reads.

Despite the dire situation, Reisinger-Kindle would not answer questions or provide information to Indianapolis Hospital even after speaking with Doe, who could have permitted the abortionist to do so.

Reisinger-Kindle received a $5,000 disciplinary action fine from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, along with orders to complete 20 hours of continued medical education. The disciplinary action reprimanded Reisinger-Kindle “for failing to properly evaluate a patient before a procedure which resulted in hospitalization due to complications.”

Additionally, Reisinger-Kindle is no stranger to medical malpractice complaints. In 2021, he was one of several doctors sued by a Massachusetts woman for “severe and permanent personal injuries” due to “negligent care and treatment” during her labor and delivery.

Even worse, Reisinger-Kindle previously worked alongside Martin Haskell, who invented the late-term dilation and extraction abortion Reisinger-Kindle used to end the life of Doe’s baby and threaten hers. Despite inventing the barbaric procedure, Haskell’s abortion facilities are known for botching abortions and sending women to the hospital.

This didn’t matter to Equity Clinic. Reisinger-Kindle is still on staff as its medical director.

This story makes it clear: abortion vendors and facilities care as little about the safety and well-being of women as they do about the preborn children they kill. Whether it’s through barbaric late-term abortions, horrific chemical abortion pills, in violation of safety regulations, or post-birth infanticide, abortion vendors always put profit over protecting health and life.

SFLA has worked hard to bring awareness to the dangers of abortion. Whether it is fighting to address chemical abortion pill water pollution or the law-breaking conduct of abortion vendors, SFLA will not stop until every abortion facility is shut down and abortion is merely a horrific part of America’s past.
