Our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) are the big dogs of defending conservative values in cases that land as high as the United States Supreme Court, helping the good guys in cases ranging from free speech rights to conscience protections for medical personnel. ADF has to pay its own way in its mission to defend the pro-lifer and the censored… yet another, rather unexpected, group that also dips its toe in the legal pond gets a lot of its cash straight from the government: the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG).

Already, the American pro-lifer has plenty to be disappointed about when it comes to how the government disseminates our tax dollars (that annual $700M they fork over to Planned Parenthood probably tops the list, and putting a stop to that is a battle we’re already fighting full-time). This month, ADF sent a letter to Health & Human Services (HHS) asking that ACOG’s doctors, a.k.a. abortion activists, who parade through legal cases, be kicked off the public dole.
Indeed, HHS has been funneling our tax dollars to this once-reputable, once-medical entity, which has been a colossal thorn in the side of pro-lifers for years. But it gets worse. ADF highlights in its letter how high-ranking liberals have reportedly managed to use our money to pay for fake science through ACOG that supports everything from abortion to sex-harming drugs and surgeries and even COVID-19 shots for pregnant women.

Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel and Director of Regulatory Practice Matt Bowman notes:
“Doctors and medical professionals are bound by oath to ‘do no harm.’ Under the Biden and Obama administrations, however, HHS funneled money to the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists—an organization that actively promotes harmful ideologies and illegal proposals with funds it is still receiving. […]
Federal funding for radical advocacy conflicts with President Donald Trump’s executive orders to restore safety and common sense by ending the use of taxpayer dollars to promote gender identity, DEI policies, and abortion. We urge the HHS to withdraw funds to ACOG and ensure federal money is promoting actual health priorities for Americans, not funding left-wing activism.”
Making the claim that ACOG is pro-abortion is easily provable – it’s plastered all over their website, their representatives aren’t shy about offering pro-abortion quotes to news outlets, and as stated, they dabble heavily in legal cases pertaining to abortion. All of this is reprehensible and sad, given they are the foremost organization for obstetricians – doctors who are supposed to ensure positive pregnancy outcomes for moms and babies.

ACOG’s hero-worship and peddling of Chemical Abortion Pills is particularly troubling, given the drugs’ purpose of killing preborn babies and the additional tendency to kill or maim their mothers. One such fatality happened recently in Georgia to a mother carrying twins.
Over the past 25 years, Chemical Abortion Pills have…
- Killed countless millions of babies;
- Hospitalized more than a thousand women (several of whom escaped alive but with permanent infertility);
- Traumatized a legion of young women who weren’t expecting to experience the worst pain of their lives plus see their baby expelled by the drugs, often still alive;
- Poisoned our nation’s water supply as hundreds of thousands of women consume the toxic pills, then flush them down toilets connected to treatment plants that don’t test or treat for those chemicals;
- Empowered abusers, like men who are routinely caught slipping the pills to women without their consent, such as this creep in Wisconsin, or the parents of pregnant girls who force their daughters into abortion.
The proliferation and abuse of Chemical Abortion Pills happen much more easily today than they did in the decade after its initial legalization, thanks to the reckless distribution of the pills online, loosening of safety regulations (REMS) by the Biden Administration, and advocacy by organizations like – you guessed it – ACOG.
ADF is right to appeal to the current administration, which has made pro-life promises and vowed better protections for taxpayers who do not want to continue funding abortion and its advocacy. If ADF’s letter fails to land in the right hands, hopefully, ACOG’s tax pilfering doesn’t escape the watchful eye of DOGE, and pro-lifers can finally stop financing our own political enemies.
