My name is Clare Troll, and I recently graduated from high school after being homeschooled. As I look ahead to the next chapter of my life, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow as a leader in the pro-life movement through Students for Life.
My journey with Students for Life began after I became passionately pro-life and attended the National Pro-Life March in Washington, D.C. Being surrounded by thousands of people standing for preborn children inspired me to do more. My sister and I were already involved in pro-life advocacy, and starting a Students for Life group seemed like the perfect way to strengthen our efforts and reach more people in our community.
One of the things I’ve appreciated most about Students for Life is the incredible support available to student leaders. Through the National Leaders Collective (NLC), my group had access to valuable training opportunities, educational resources, handout materials, and guidance that helped us become more effective advocates. Having those tools at our fingertips gave us the confidence to take on bigger projects and make a greater impact.
One project that is especially meaningful to me is a billboard campaign our group launched last year through NLC. The billboard exposes Planned Parenthood and encourages conversations about the importance of protecting preborn babies. What makes this project even more exciting is that its impact has continued long after the initial campaign ended!

Recently, we were able to secure funding to keep the billboard up for an additional three months. Seeing the project continue beyond my time in the program has been incredibly rewarding because it means the message is still reaching people in our community every day. Our group has remained closely connected with our generous donor, Red Law, whose support has made it possible for this project to continue making a difference. Knowing that our work has created a lasting impact motivates me to keep finding new ways to advocate for Life.
In addition to my work with Students for Life, I recently began training to become a volunteer at our local Pregnancy Center. I’m excited to learn how I can better serve women, families, and preborn children through hands-on support in my community. Pregnancy Centers play such an important role in helping mothers navigate difficult situations, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a practical way.
As I think about the future, I hope to remain involved in the pro-life movement. My experience with Students for Life has shown me how much one person can accomplish when they have the right training, support, and encouragement. It has also reminded me that meaningful change often starts with a simple decision to get involved.
For students who are approaching graduation and considering a career in the pro-life movement, my biggest piece of advice is to stay connected with the people you meet through Students for Life, especially those in NLC. The relationships you build can open doors to opportunities you may never have imagined. The movement is filled with passionate leaders who want to help the next generation succeed, and those connections can be invaluable as you take your next steps.
Looking back, I’m thankful for everything Students for Life has taught me and for the chance to be part of a movement that is changing hearts and saving lives. Whether through advocacy, community outreach, or volunteering at a Pregnancy Center, I’m excited to continue standing for preborn children and supporting women for years to come.
