Even Planned Parenthood Can’t Deny It: Abortion Rates Fell Post-Roe

The fall of Roe v. Wade is yielding life-saving results, and even Planned Parenthood’s own research arm, the Guttmacher Institute, can’t deny it.

In a recent article, TIME reluctantly reported that approximately 518,940 abortions took place in states without near-total abortion restrictions during the first half of 2025. That’s a 5% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. Even more telling, the number of people crossing state lines for abortions dropped by 8%: a clear sign that pro-life laws are having an impact.

A 5% drop may sound modest, but in the fight for Life, every percentage point represents thousands of children spared. With Roe reversed, the responsibility to protect Life now rests with individual states—and ultimately, with voters. The battle is no longer just in the courts; it’s in the hearts and minds of everyday Americans. Whether it’s supporting life at conception, cracking down on Chemical Abortion Pill trafficking, defunding Planned Parenthood and all other abortion vendors, or opposing shield laws that undermine pro-life states, every action matters.

Interestingly, TIME did raise an interesting point: the rise of unregulated Chemical Abortion Pills being a potential reason for the decrease. That’s why the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) is taking aim at what we call the Chemical Abortion Pill Cartel—those pushing these dangerous drugs with little oversight.

According to the Guttmacher Institute63% of abortions now occur via Chemical Abortion Pills. And without a National Abortion Reporting Law, that number is likely even higher. That’s why we won’t stop until Planned Parenthood and all abortion vendors are defunded forever and debarred. It’s why we will continue to demand that pharmacies opt-out of selling Chemical Abortion Pills in our family-friendly grocery chains.

This recent progress is encouraging, but it’s not the finish line. It’s a milestone, and a call to keep pressing forward until abortion becomes unthinkable in our lifetime.
