Students for Life of America (SFLA) works to abolish abortion, save preborn babies, and protect women 365 days out of the year, but the fight against the cruel injustice of abortion is particularly highlighted today as it is International Women’s Day. Abortion has become misconstrued as liberation for women and called a “woman’s right;” feminists today march for abortion and call for abortion on demand without limits. Yet, “abortion rights” couldn’t be farther from women’s rights at all.

In fact, far from being a form of liberation, abortion is a serious human rights issue which kills preborn baby girls and boys and harms many women. SFLA Field Staff Writer Sarah Michalak recently published an op-ed on this topic in Townhall, entitled “On International Women’s Day, Oppose the Violence of Abortion.” She rightly observed,
“In taking inventory of all the major issues facing women in the U.S. today, the violence of abortion and the predatory practices of the abortion industry contain glaring abuses that should be opposed by women everywhere.”
