Through our annual Summer of Service, Abortion Free Cities (AFC) connects with families in need and provides practical support by going door to door across the country. This year, twenty AFC campaigns in cities across the country participated in the Summer of Service!
Throughout the summer, volunteers went door-to-door in low-income neighborhoods to distribute baby items for families in need and door hangers promoting local life-affirming resources.
AFC campaigns knocked on a total of 3,625 doors and distributed a total of 5,882 baby items to neighbors in need. Those donations represent an estimated value of $1,455, which is equivalent to over two years’ worth of diaper changes.

Miami, FL
During their Summer of Service outreach, Miami AFC had the opportunity to bless a mother who was actively in labor by giving her family much-needed diapers. Later, they also had a productive conversation with a pro-choice father and showed him the generosity of the pro-life community by providing diapers for his baby.

Atlanta, GA
Volunteers for the Atlanta Summer of Service outreach served a mother who had just welcomed a newborn and a woman residing in a shelter for homeless mothers. They also met a grandmother caring for nearly 20 grandchildren who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the supplies she received.

Fort Worth, TX
Fort Worth AFC distributed more than 2,400 diapers during their Summer of Service outreach. Volunteers met a young man who requested diapers for his sister’s new baby and took information to share with his family.
Others connected with two young men who were so encouraged by the mission that they took extra flyers to distribute.
One grandmother was grateful to receive diapers for her grandchild, while another mother shared how a local pregnancy center had supported her through multiple pregnancies with material assistance, guidance, and prayer.

Kansas City, KS
Members of the Kansas City campaign met a young couple expecting their first baby. With a major move on the horizon, the couple was especially thankful for the assistance and encouragement they received.

Louisville, KY
A young mother answered the door with one child on her hip and shared that she had welcomed her third baby just three weeks earlier. As she adjusted to life with a newborn and struggled with postpartum depression, she gratefully accepted baby diapers and wipes from the team. When asked if she needed anything else, she laughed and mentioned sizes 4 and 5 diapers, not expecting them to be available. To her surprise, the team was able to provide exactly what her family needed.

Boston, MA
Boston volunteers met a woman at the door who accepted diapers and wipes for a friend in need and was very grateful, saying, “You’re doing the Lord’s work.”

Our team is grateful to have served so many families in need during our 2026 Summer of Service and look forward to serving even more in 2027! Are you feeling called to get involved? Visit AbortionFreeCities.org to learn more about the campaign, join an existing campaign, or start your own.
