It was the first stop in our campaign to reach more than 100 churches, reminding the faithful of Biblical truth: Life begins at conception, God abhors murder, and He made every one of us in His image, male and female.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-05-2026) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins spoke out against the “Christian” facade of Texas’s Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate James Talarico ahead of the 2026 general elections this November. In an op-ed for The Daily Wire, Hawkins detailed why Christian Texans should trust his long record of pro-abortion, pro-gender-ideology statements and actions that go against traditional biblical teachings over his new attempt to appear moderate.

Recently, Talarico tried to walk back his support for men playing in women’s sports. His revised claim said that men should only be allowed to do so if it is “safe’ and “fair.”

“But here’s the truth: it is always unfair for men to play against women, and men in women’s sports always endanger women,” wrote Hawkins. “God made us male and female, equally loved, differently formed. No amount of political denial of that reality changes the reality God created, nor the level of hurt women will face because of transgender ideology. To deny our natural state, made in God’s image, is to deny God Himself.”

Hawkins also pointed to his weak arguments that the Bible says nothing about abortion or gay marriage despite the many verses proving God’s value for life and clear plan for marriage within scripture.

This is not the only place Hawkins has spoken out against Talarico. She recently spoke out against his rhetoric and debunked his pro-abortion lies on her YouTube channel.

SFLAction has been engaged in the Texas race for U.S. Senate. The 100-church flyering campaign Hawkins mentions is just part of SFLAction’s “Get Out the Pro-Life Vote” campaign urging pro-life voters to defend life in this fall’s general election.

Baylor University recently hosted a campaign event for James Talarico, and SFLAction team members and Bears for Life student activists were there to let their campus know the truth about Talarico — even as Talarico refused to answer any questions from prospective voters.
