Most members of Congress lack the moral integrity to stand up to the pro-abortion Left’s abusive rhetoric when it comes to ending the innocent lives of preborn children. But Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) is not among them.

In a recent U.S. House Judiciary hearing, Gill posed a simple question to pro-abortion advocate Jessica Waters, leaving the room stunned. Waters was mid-testimony defending the constitutionality of the FACE Act, a law weaponized by the Biden administration to send peaceful pro-life protesters to jail, when Gill asked her simply: “What is your favorite type of abortion?” 

The room fell silent, and everyone could see Waters shift in her seat. Everyone in that room, pro-life and pro-abortion alike, knew abortion brutally ends the life of a human being — a fact that left Waters unable to answer the question.

Rep. Brandon Gill filled the silence by using a printout of Students for Life’s own website to explain the different types of abortion in great detail, while Waters continued to dodge and evade his questions.

Ultimately, Waters was not won over — but others may have been as they witnessed a member of Congress shed light on the barbaric nature of abortion from a national stage.

Other congressmen and women need to learn from his example. America would be a better place if we had 534 more Brandon Gills walking the halls of our nation’s Capitol.
