The 2025-2026 academic year is coming to a close, which means that Students for Life of America will soon be awarding groups with Best New Group, Best High School Group, Best College Group, and Best Standing With You Group of the Year distinctions.

The nominations for College Group of the Year are Georgetown University Right to Life, Campbell Students for Life, and Pro-Life at Cairn. A group is nominated for this award for going above and beyond in the Five Pillars of Pro-Life Activism in the 2025-2026 academic year.

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY RIGHT TO LIFE
Georgetown University Right to Life in Washington, D.C. was established in 2007 and now has almost 50 active members. The group hosted over 15 events on campus this year, including a debate between Lila Rose and media personality Suzanne Lambert, a Q&A with Abby Johnson, and a screening of “No Mercy: The Anti-Life Culture of Euthanasia” with Sr. Dede Byrne. They were nominated for consistently hosting a wide variety of events, including larger events with high profile speakers, praying and sidewalk counseling every Saturday outside of Planned Parenthood, and leading the National Pro-Life March!

Georgetown University Right to Life’s Top Accomplishment in the 2025-2026 Academic Year:
Group President Spoke at the National Pro-Life March
Georgetown University Right to Life’s president, Elizabeth Oliver, spoke at the National Pro-Life March in front of tens of thousands of marchers. Oliver joined the likes of March for Life President Jennie Bradley Lichter and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
COMING SOON IN 2026-2027 . . .
Georgetown University Right to Life hopes to continue their leadership on campus by hosting their annual Pregnancy & Parenting Resource Forum, organizing diaper drives and bake sale fundraisers for Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center, and arranging blood drives for the American Red Cross. Through these events, the group aims to foster a pro-life community that is service-driven and relational, showing its accompaniment of human life through all its stages.

CAMPBELL STUDENTS FOR LIFE
Campbell Students for Life in North Carolina was established in 2017 and now has over 30 active members. The group hosted over 10 events on campus this year, including SFLA tablings twice per semester, the Cemetery of the Innocents tour featuring “All Human Life is Valuable,” and a diaper drive throughout the month of February. They also participated in the National Pro-Life March and Summit. The group was nominated for bringing more than 10 students to a protest over an hour and a half from campus to call out Democrats for not supporting the “Born Alive Protection Act,” changing over 50 minds to be pro-life this school year alone, and continuing to make their Christian campus more pro-life. In fact, it has become more difficult to find pro-choice students on campus because of their continued activism!

Campbell Students for Life’s Top Accomplishment in the 2025-2026 Academic Year:
Supporting Mama M Who Chose Life
One of the most meaningful accomplishments this year was supporting Mama M during her pregnancy after she chose Life for her baby. Campbell Students for Life stayed engaged through consistent encouragement and practical assistance during a challenging season. While still pregnant, Mama M was honored with a baby shower organized by students and supporters, providing essential items, diapers, and encouragement ahead of the baby’s arrival. After birth, the group helped provide continued support including a full year of diapers to help meet ongoing needs. Months later, Mama M and her baby are thriving, reflecting the impact of sustained care, community support, and commitment to both mother and child.

Campbell Students for Life hopes to continue their leadership on campus by hosting the SFLA tour and a Cemetery of the Innocents each semester to share the horrors of Planned Parenthood during the 2026-2027 academic year. They are also preparing to bring over 20 members to the next National Pro-Life March.

PRO-LIFE AT CAIRN
Pro-Life at Cairn in Pennsylvania was established in 2024 and now has over 20 active members. The group hosted over 44 events on campus this year, including the SFLA Chemical Abortion Tour, attended the National Pro-Life March, regularly prayed and counseled outside abortion facilities every Saturday morning, and even saved a baby! They were nominated for sidewalk counseling women outside of abortion clinics every Saturday morning, participating in multiple press conferences in Harrisburg, and bringing 15 people to a Defund Planned Parenthood rally!

Pro-Life at Cairn’s Top Accomplishment in the 2025-2026 Academic Year:
Activating Over 20 Students During SFLA Tour
While hosting SFLA’s Chemical Abortion Tour with their Regional Coordinator, Pro-Life at Cairn activated over 20 students to join the group and sign Students for Life Action’s Clean Water for All petition.
COMING SOON IN 2026-2027 . . .
Pro-Life at Cairn hopes to continue their leadership on campus by hosting the Chemical Abortion Tour, tabling more frequently, and attending more SFLA events during the 2026-2027 academic year. These initiatives will aim to recruit passive pro-life students on their campus into the movement and advance their own leadership capacity!
