“Students for Life of America works to see Life protected in both law and service, and this item drive is one of the unique ways we care for mothers and their children,” said SFLA President Kristan Hawkins. “It’s ironic that the abortion lobby says we only care about children in the womb because it is almost exclusively the pro-life movement providing women with material needs and a support network through pregnancy and beyond.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (05-09-2023) – As part of efforts to care for pregnant and parenting mothers, Students for Life of America’s (SFLA) initiative, Standing With You, is hosting their fourth annual Mother’s Day Item Drive. Running from April 24, 2023 to May 31, 2023, this campaign focuses on providing extra supplies for pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) to assist mothers in need. It connects individuals with participating PRCs, allowing them to choose the location nearest to them and order off a corresponding Amazon registry.

In previous years, Standing With You has donated more than $15,000 in baby items through this annual drive.

Participating cities include Avon Park, Florida; Bradenton, Florida; Columbus, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Greer, South Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; Phoenix, Arizona; Placerville, California; Rochester, New York; Roseville, California; and Traverse City, Michigan.

Hawkins also recently commented on the difference between the goals of the pro-life movement and the abortion giant Planned Parenthood, tweeting: “Imagine if Planned Parenthood fought as hard for access to food, housing, diapers, child care, prenatal care, and maternity leave as they do for tearing little boys and girls to pieces in their mom’s wombs?” Click HERE to see her tweet.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), make up the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization and a political and policy operation engaging people of all ages. Together they work to end abortion — the human rights issue of our day — and provide political, legal, and community support for women and their children, born and preborn. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, SFLA has more than 1,300 groups on middle, high school, college, university, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. SFLA creates strategy, policy, and programming to connect those most targeted for abortion with people ready to help and builds a framework for political engagement on their behalf. SFLA and SFLAction have more conversations with those most targeted by the abortion industry than any other pro-life outreach in the world, reaching more than 2 million people across social media platforms each week and engaging in approximately 100,000 digital conversations per month. Over more than 16 years, President Kristan Hawkins has grown SFLAction/SFLA into an $18 million organization preparing for a Post-Roe America.
