Hawkins at Twitter: Hey hey, ho ho. Roe v. Wade is going to go!
“Today’s news that the Supreme Court has decided to accept the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case that deals with abortion limits pre-viability is overdue but good news for the Pro-Life Generation,” said Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins.
“We are ready for a Post-Roe America, where the violence of abortion is a thing of the past and preborn children are protected in law and welcomed in life.”
WASHINGTON D.C. (05-17-2021) – Students for Life of America, Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins said that today pro-life Americans were “cautiously celebrating that the abortion issue is now to be reviewed by the Supreme Court for pre-viability pregnancies.” Hawkins noted that years of efforts have gone into asking the Supreme Court to consider the heart of the matter, both the court’s takeover of the abortion issue and the arbitrary assumption that abortion before a baby can live outside the womb is “Constitutional.”
“The Supreme Court took on the role of abortion policy maker when the justices wiped out the laws in all 50 states in creating Roe v. Wade, and for the next 50 years, dedicated pro-life Americans have been motivated to vote so that new justices would be appointed who would provide a real evaluation of abortion in the law. We have been working toward this historic opportunity to right a terrible wrong,” said Hawkins. “Students for Life Action has been engaged in working for new Supreme Court justices for one reason – to confront the flawed foundation of Roe v. Wade, which allows abortion through all 9 months in the U.S.”

She wrote: “In fact, the abortion decision forced on America in Roe rests on a virtual San Andreas legal fault line, shaky, legal ground that experts, both pro- and anti-abortion, have watched closely. With a number of cases headed to the U.S. Supreme Court to probe the cracks in the ruling, that fragile foundation is in question. But it’s not only pro-life legal experts who see serious flaws in Roe.”
