It is a joy and privilege to share that Students for Life at Bridgewater is our group of the month for May 2026! Based at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, this club experienced a powerful year of growth and new milestones as they worked to uphold the value of all human life!
Leveling Up
A year ago, BSU’s Students for Life chapter was a small, unofficial group that was mostly confined to meetings in the school’s Catholic Center. But as the new academic year dawned, the group felt a need to make a bigger impact on their campus. Leaders Gabriel, Alyssa, and Eric stepped into action to recruit new members, complete the club registration process, and begin reaching people with the truth!
Working with their wonderful regional coordinator, the group had a successful fall semester including their first-ever tabling display (“What is a Person”) and a Christmas card sale for a maternity home. They also became an established student organization, which assisted with recruitment and unlocked many on-campus privileges.

Kicking into High Gear
The club really got on a roll in the spring semester. They were first in the country to host SFLA’s “Chemical Abortion Hurts” tour, which was eye-opening even for many people with a more pro-choice stance. The tour also attracted a very dedicated new member, Emma, who is now the club’s vice president! Emma shared that “it is a great privilege to be part of this movement as we stand for Life, making a difference moment by moment for the glory of God through prayerful obedience.”
In March, Bridgewater’s group joined a Lobby Day at the MA State House, wrote postcards to abortion workers, and did three tabling events to recruit students! Then, April was a huge month full of activities. On the education side, the club organized a screening of “Unplanned,” tabled at an Admitted Students Day, hosted the “Abortion is Human Sacrifice” tour, and brought in a wonderful guest presenter! They also spent a meeting assembling “Blessing Bags” for mothers, and the following week they visited a pregnancy center to deliver the bags and take a tour!

Alyssa, now the president of the club, said, “I’m so proud of the Students for Life group at BSU for accomplishing so much in our first year as an established student organization.” She also noted that making these care packages for mothers was one of her favorite activities!
Eric, a dedicated officer in the club, also expressed his pride in being a member and what the group has done “for the rights of the unborn.” For Gabriel, this past year has grown his confidence as a leader and public advocate for the pro-life cause. Having just graduated from Bridgewater State, Gabriel is now working for Students for Life as New England Regional Coordinator and is the author of this piece!
As Emma shared, “It is easy to blend in, to conform to common ideals.” But by working together and swimming against the current, this group has become a “beacon of hope” to others!
