‘Summer of Service’ Is Coming Up. Here’s How You Can Get Involved.

It’s common for the Left to accuse conservatives of only caring about life until it leaves the womb.

But at Students for Life, we know that being “pro-life” doesn’t just mean opposing abortion, but that it means supporting all life at every stage. That’s why we actively partner with and support local pregnancy resource centers, which provide free emotional and material resources to pregnant and parenting members of their community.

The problem isn’t resources, though — it’s information. A full 73% of Americans don’t know about the support pregnancy resource centers offer, leaving many women feeling helpless, isolated, and as if they have no other option than abortion.

That’s where Students for Life of America’s Campaign for Abortion Free Cities comes in.

Every year, Campaign for Abortion Free Cities’ community advocates run a “Summer of Service,” featuring door-to-door outreach in which volunteers “wagon” pregnancy and parenting resources to needy families in their community. While handing out resources, volunteers point families toward their local pregnancy resource center, where they can continue to receive the support they need.

This year, Summer of Service is launching on Wednesday, July 1 and running through Monday, September 7.

Last year, Summer of Service volunteers covered 31 locations nationwide, reaching 4,267 community members, serving 341 families, and distributing 10,743 diapers — more than double what we achieved in 2024. This year, we’re hoping to build on that success and double our efforts once again.

That’s where you come in. If you’re passionate about making sure women have the resources they need to choose Life, you can sign up to host a Summer of Service event in your city and offer your neighbors what may be life-changing support.
