“Despite all the crocodile tears, Planned Parenthood’s lobbyist shed when they come with their hand out to Congress, the number of abortions went UP, as did the coerced funding of their operation, now more than $792 million of a more than $2 BILLION budget,” noted Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins. “Leave it to the nation’s leading abortion vendor and wrong sex hormone distributor to release their report the day after Mother’s Day, noting that 402,200 preborn babies died, up since they last checked in – and they have the receipts to prove that their deadly business is booming. While many Americans have struggled, Planned Parenthood forces us to support them. They need to go fund themselves.”

Key findings:

• Though they saw less than 2% patient increase compared to the previous report, Planned Parenthood got a 13% pay increase – from $699.3 million in 2022-2023 to $792.2 million. 
• Taxpayers are more on the hook than ever to support them, now forced to cover 39% of their total budget, up from 34%.
• The number of lives ended by abortion at Planned Parenthood’s hands rose again: 402,200 – up from 374,155 in their last report – about a 7.5% increase.
• Adoption referrals are basically stagnant, reported at 2,148, compared to 1,721 in the previous report
• “Other services” hides true data on Planned Parenthood’s sterilizing hormone sales to minors. 

WASHINGTON D.C. (05-12-2025) – As Students for Life Action (SFLAction) and a coalition of Pro-Life Leaders held an Emergency Webcast today, calling for abortion vendors like Planned Parenthood to be cut out of the federal budget, Planned Parenthood dropped its annual report, showing that, once again, their crimes against human decency pay big.

“The day after Mother’s Day, Planned Parenthood brags about how much they took from us all – in precious lives and taxpayer resources. Their annual report shows that Planned Parenthood’s biggest supporter is all of us, in government reimbursements and grants, despite better healthcare options available in Federally Qualified Healthcare Providers. And we were forced to give them a 13% increase in funding while most of America received only a 3 to 5% increase,” said SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins. “Demanding that Americans prop up an organization that sells wrong sex hormone treatments, that sterilizes minors, and that ends precious lives in the womb violates the consciences of many Americans. Planned Parenthood is a case study in how access to power equals wealth, and for those in the GOP who are inclined to support them, remember at election time they are coming for you!”

Key findings include:

• The number of lives ended by abortion at Planned Parenthood’s hands rose again: 402,200 – up from 374,155 in their last report – about a 7.5% increase. 
• Anemic Adoption Referrals reported at 2,148, compared to 1,721 in the previous report.
• The forced funding of abortion vendors has been profitable – to the tune of $792.2 million – up from $699.3 million in 2022-2023 – a more than 13% increase in funds.
• Cutting taxpayer support of Planned Parenthood would impact 39% of its budget – up from 34%.
• Planned Parenthood pivots to online pill pushing including Chemical Abortion Pills where legal, they assert.  They report 42 states and the District of Columbia set up for Online, No Test Distribution of drugs that can kill.
• “Other services” could hide Planned Parenthood’s new business model, said to be 2% in a laundry list that throws in everything but the kitchen sink. While Planned Parenthood role in distributing sterilizing, wrong-sex hormones to minors is well known. In comparison, for years, the nation’s largest abortion vendor claimed their death-for-profit business reflected only 3% of total “services.” However, 11% is a poorly defined category indicating “Other Reproductive Health Services.”
• “Other Procedures” were listed at 77,858 and include what they label as “transgender services,” though not exclusively. In 2022-2023, that vague listing was for 177,237 “services.”
• The number of patients seen rose only slightly, from 2.05 to 2.08 million, which hardly explains the incredible increase in funding – a 1.46% increase in patients.
• Also showing a minimal increase is the total “services” category, going from 9.13 million “services” to 9.4 million “services.”
• A network of people willing to potentially break laws in pro-life states – called “patient navigators” – now numbers more than 90. They connect people “with transportation and travel support, financial assistance, and referral services,” which resulted, according to their annual report, in “more than 100,000 people” presumably getting an intentional abortion.

The Pro-Life Generation at Students for Life of America (SFLA)and SFLAction goes head-to-head with Planned Parenthood on social media. The abortion vendor reported 903,000 education video views, 141,000 conversations on Chat/Text and Chatea/Textea,  and 409,000 sessions on Roo chatbot.

Hawkins noted: “Our two most recent digital pro-life education campaigns have reached 35+ MILLION Americans. The ‘Almost Aborted’ campaign alone impacted nearly 10 million young people, while our national ‘Defund Planned Parenthood’campaign reached more than 25 million. In addition, we share the pro-life message with an average of 6 million people every week across our social media platforms.

 “Together, these efforts have led to 1.7 million digital conversations about abortion and 392,000 documented mind-changes about abortion since 2019 — a powerful testament to the impact of bold, truth-driven outreach.”
