“So many people are harmed by abortion, most notably preborn children,” said Students for Life of America (SFLA) Vice President of Field Programs Reagan Barklage. “Millions of children lose their lives every year at the hands of physicians betraying their oath to uphold life, and so many others experience forced abortions in trafficking and abuse. This tour tells their stories — and why we must act to keep others from suffering the same fate.”
“Abortion Victims: Every Abortion Has a Human Cost” tour brings visual display to 150 campuses in more than 40 states beginning Sept. 8.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA (09/10/2026) — Students for Life of America (SFLA) just launched its Fall 2026 nationwide tour, “Abortion Victims: Every Abortion Has a Human Cost,” bringing an educational display to an expected 150 college campuses across more than 40 states this fall. The launch came the week of the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The goal is to continue his legacy of bringing the fight for free speech and the sanctity of life to college campuses across the nation.
The tour is designed to spark and sustain campus conversations about all victims of abortion violence, with particular focus on preborn children killed through methods such as starvation, suction, dismemberment, and poison. Charlie Kirk built his career by taking hard conversations directly to college campuses, and this fall’s tour continues that legacy by giving students the tools to engage their peers face-to-face about the human cost of abortion.
SFLA President Kristan Hawkins spoke about the importance of free speech on college campuses in an op-ed at the National Review:
“Today, we need free speech and the courage to use it, especially on the issue of abortion — the human rights issue of our day, where the innocent die before getting to utter their first word. But I am concerned that this generation of students is considering self-censorship even as others embrace violence. Over 9 in 10 students said they self-censor on campus, while a third of students embrace violence as a way to confront a speaker they don’t agree with or want to hear.
“. . . Charlie Kirk went to college campuses because he believed, as I do, that we need to reach each generation with the truth about how to achieve hope and a future. The boldness of stepping on college campuses for an open debate changes minds.”
Barklage noted: “Our mission has always been to bring the truth about abortion directly to students, no matter how uncomfortable that conversation is. Charlie Kirk understood that principle better than almost anyone, and this tour carries his example forward onto campuses across the country.”
The exhibit also highlights other victims of the abortion industry, including women facing coercion, survivors of trafficking, and disabled children. This year’s tour debuts a new, five-board pyramid structure, featuring front and back panels, replacing the base-and-pole setup used in previous years. The updated format will allow attendees to see the violence committed in abortion through imagery of real preborn children killed by various abortion methods.
Students for Life’s Spring 2026 tour, “Chemical Abortion Hurts,” recorded a 23% mind-changed rate, going from pro-abortion to a more pro-life perspective, among students who engaged with the display, demonstrating the effectiveness of the organization’s visual education approach heading into the fall campaign. The fall tour kicked off at California State University at San Bernardino.
