The national pro-life march is always special — but this year’s was better than ever thanks to the first-ever Abortion Debate Showdown, which featured Students for Life’s own Kristan Hawkins and Lydia Taylor Davis taking on pro-abortionists Rev. Dr. Caleb J. Lines and Whitney Shanahan.
The debate was the perfect precursor to Students for Life of America’s National Pro-Life Summit — but it didn’t come without controversy.
Didn’t get a chance to watch live? We have you covered. To watch the full recorded debate, click here — or check out the top 5 highlights below.
5. “Abortion came from racism”
Kristan Hawkins debunks a common abortion argument with the facts: It’s the pro-abortion movement, not the pro-life movement, that is inherently racist.
4. Even abortion activists can’t stand to watch what abortion actually looks like
A picture is worth a thousand words, or so it’s said. The best response from the pro-abortionists? “Using props… is sensationalist.”
3. Pro-choice “pastor” doesn’t believe the Bible
The Trinity? Nope. The divinity of Christ? Nah. The resurrection? Also no.
Kristan Hawkins’s response: “Thank God I joined the Catholic church!”
2. “You don’t get to define who is and isn’t a Christian”
If someone denies the core beliefs of the Christian faith, they’re not a Christian… right? Not according to Rev. Dr. Caleb J. Lines. Apparently, he’s a Christian because he identifies as one — even though he barely believes a word the Bible says.
1. Abortion activists won’t say whether baby Jesus should have been aborted
Lydia: “Do you think Mary should have been able to abort baby Jesus?”
Rev. Caleb: “So, I want to take a step back…”
