ABC moderators, who shilled for Vice President Kamala Harris in the recent presidential debate against former President Donald Trump, falsely claimed that late-term abortions don’t happen. In an appalling Instagram video, Students for Life of America (SFLA) spokesperson Lydia Taylor Davis put this “fact check” to the test.
Davis called abortionist Warren Hern’s abortion facility in Boulder, Colorado, claiming to be 30 weeks pregnant and in need of an abortion. As a reminder, 30 weeks is almost seven months of pregnancy.
The receptionist had no hesitancy, saying that “they do them a lot” and that they’ve been a late-term abortion facility since the 70s. See for yourself:
When asked if the baby will feel any pain, “No, no, it shouldn’t…it will gently and slowly stop the fetal heartbeat.” Even crazier, the receptionist openly admitted the baby was fully formed in the womb, acknowledging its formed head, body, and heart.
A few things are clear. First, the tired and old “clump of cells” argument must retire. Not even abortion zealots believe it.

Secondly, and most importantly, late-term abortions do exist. The argument is not that every single abortion vendor does them; it’s that some vendors do and, therefore, do exist nationwide in America.
The Federalist reported the Center for Disease Control (CDC) data, which is no pro-life organization, and found that thousands of late-term abortions were reported nationwide. And since there’s no national abortion reporting law, who knows how many more late-term abortions take place that aren’t known to the American public.
The Federalist wrote:
“Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, however, shows that thousands of abortions are performed after 21 weeks’ gestation. The CDC’s findings do not include reporting from at least four abortion-friendly states (California, Maryland, New Hampshire, and New Jersey), which suggests the number of late-term abortions in the U.S. is likely much higher.”
To strengthen the data, SFLA told the stories of those who were almost aborted as a part of our Almost Aborted campaign, including Melissa Ohden, Josiah Pressly, and Micaella. Each of these individuals survived botched abortion attempts and bravely decided to share their stories.
Now, some abortion supporters are saying this video is heavily edited, while others are too shocked to think this actually happens in America. Sadly, it does. All one has to do is pick up the phone and call an abortion facility in a state that allows abortion past 21 weeks. Take a look at this map based on data from KFF and the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute.
So yes, ABC News. Late-term abortions do exist. Maybe ABC should fact-check their fact-check.
