“Students for Life of America will expand operations with a new, umbrella organization – the Pro-Life Generation – to provide a place for on-going activism for the many thousands of students recruited, trained, and activated as Pro-Life First Voters, graduated and ready to get to work,” said SFLA President Kristan Hawkins. “Our alumni want to continue their work protecting life in law and in service. As we prepare to celebrate our 200,000 trained activist, we are gearing up to the next chapter of engagement with those who VOTE PRO-LIFE FIRST.”

WASHINGTON D.C. (01-20-2024) – In opening the National Pro-Life Summit, Students for Life of America & SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins announced that Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action will be expanding it’s network under the umbrella of the Pro-Life Generation (PLG), an organization she will head as CEO. It’s initiatives of SFLA/SFLAction will continue their outreach to audience-specific targets of an expanded operation to include opportunities for SFLA alumni ready for the next phase of their political and cultural engagement.
The ground-breaking political work of SFLAction was on full display this week, as the first federal bill inspired by our work passed the U.S. House. As it went forward, Hawkins said that the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act (H.R.6914) is “the culmination of years of advocacy work responding to pregnant and parenting students whose needs were ignored or neglected by abortion-minded school officials.” As part of our Standing with You initiative that connects pregnant and parenting mothers with support, SFLA developed the Pregnant on Campus Bill of Rights, to assist students juggling family and school.
“Being a “student for LIFE’ is a commitment to life-long advocacy, including activism that often begins at the college and university level, but continues well into adult life,” said Hawkins, noting that SFLA has often been the first job many experienced political voices had in the pro-life movement. “To rebuild a culture of life, we will need committed pro-life activists in every state, on every college and university campus, and in office around the country. Together, we plan to activate a core of the Youth Vote who don’t want all the abortion that the radical abortion activists controlling the Democratic Party are selling.”
Reportedly more than one-third of the electorate and headed toward majority status, the Youth Vote is a key cohort for those looking for traditionally less engaged voters. But as SFLAction has written, they are becoming an important swing vote in races across the country.
Writing for FOX Opinion the day of the national pro-life march, Hawkins noted that key findings in the YouGov/Pro-Life Generation’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement poll indicate that more than 6 in 10 youth voters want limits on abortion.
Read Hawkins’ Op-Ed at FOX titled Youth vote on abortion could surprise both sides.
She wrote: “Consider the results of 2020. In Georgia, youth voters by 58% – 39% went for Biden, accounting for 20% of the total vote, and he won by just 11,779 total votes. In Arizona, young people voted 59% – 37% for Biden and accounted for 16% of the total vote, giving him a win with jut 10,457 more votes. That same kind of math carries into Wisconsin, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
“Our analysis of youth voter participation data indicates that small, single digit increases among conservative young voters can impact swing state outcomes, and that’s our plan.
“Appealing to a principled, pro-life plurality among the youth vote can be a game changer for Republicans this election. And in this election, every vote will be needed.”

The Pro-Life Generation (PLG) is an umbrella organization encompassing the most-cutting edge engagement opportunities for a Vote Pro-Life First Community. PLG includes Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), that together make up the nation’s largest, pro-life youth organization, managing a grassroots political and policy operation engaging Americans of all ages but with a special emphasis on the largest segment of voters — the Youth Vote. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, PLG/SFLA/SFLAction serves more than 1,400 groups on middle, high school, college, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. Our team has more conversations with this generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world, each week reaching more than 4 million across social media platforms and averaging 1.3 million video views. In addition to SFLA/SFLAction, PLG leads multiple initiatives to lead and serve the future of the pro-life movement including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement . Over more than 17 years, PLG CEO Kristan Hawkins has grown the operation into a nearly $20M organization, now preparing for an abortion-free America.
