Victory! St. Francis University in Pennsylvania Removes Planned Parenthood from Website

At least 25 Christian colleges have developed friendly relationships with Planned Parenthood, America’s biggest abortion vendor, with some even endorsing them as “a trusted resource.” But we know the truth. Planned Parenthood’s goal is to ensure Christian, college-age young adults do not bat an eyelash at (or worse, encourage) abortions.

That’s why Students for Life has made a concerted effort to assess America’s Christian schools for ties to Planned Parenthood and, for those that do, urge them to kick the abortion giant to the curb. As part of this effort, we located 25 Christian colleges with confirmed ties to Planned Parenthood.

Fortunately, St. Francis University in Loretto, PA is NOT one of these campuses! Upon initial data-gathering, our team discovered that Planned Parenthood was listed as a health resource on the school’s website. But, thanks to a response from a member of the school’s administration, the matter has been resolved and the link removed.

Hello Katie –

Thank you so much for your alert. We sincerely appreciate the outreach. As a Catholic, Franciscan institution know that protection of our mission-defined identity is paramount. We have removed the link from https://libguides.francis.edu/c.php?g=718241&p=5114133 accordingly.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly if I can be of further assistance.

Peace,

Erin E. McCloskey
Asst. VP for Communications & Marketing

Thank you, St. Francis University, for serving as a positive example of what a Christian campus should be as it pertains to respect for all human life. Hopefully, the schools that remain on our list will learn from this example and cut ties with the nation’s biggest seller of abortions… which clearly has no place within a Christian institution.
