To be fair, she said that she would be fine with voting for Joe Biden even if he supported boiling babies. To step back for a moment, no one asked her. No one said, “If Joe Biden supported boiling babies, would you still vote for him?” This writer just sat down the other day and said it.

Pollitt’s column centered around whether she’d support Joe Biden in the face of sexual assault allegations against him. We won’t go into that right now, because our focus is the absurdity of Pollitt saying she’s okay with boiling babies. She stated, “I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them. He wasn’t my candidate, but taking back the White House is that important.”

Look, we’ve all had to meet a certain word count for a school paper or, if you regularly write like I do, for a blog or op-ed. But this was her first sentence! It wasn’t a throwaway line at the end to try to hit her word count. She thought of all the things she had to say, this was the most important line!
