Are you ready to help save lives on your campus with very little money and while having fun at the same time? Get ready for National Pro-Life Chalk Day, happening across the country in just a few weeks on Thursday, October 2nd.

We have always found that our student pro-life groups love National Pro-Life Chalk Day and get really creative when it comes to chalking (check out the pictures in this post!). It’s super easy, very inexpensive and lots of fun.

Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Pick up sidewalk chalk (Walmart, drug stores, Hobby Lobby)
Step 2: Collect your pro-life friends
Step 3: Find a heavily trafficked public area
Step 4: Chalk short pro-life messages in large letters everywhere

Here are a few ideas for slogans:

 Abortion Hurts Women
Women Need Love Not Abortion
Human Rights for All: Born & Preborn
Heartbeat Begins Beating at 21 Days
Adoption Not Abortion
Love them both
True Feminists are Pro-Life
Peace Begins in the Womb
Planned Parenthood Protects Rapists
Women Regret Abortion

OR

Draw 3,500 baby feet or hearts and chalk “Abortion Stops 3,500 Hearts Every Day

Some tips:

  • Don’t get discouraged if your “artwork” is scuffed or washed off by haters – that means they saw it (one of our student pro-life groups in Michigan just had this happen)
  • Place messages at different angles and perspectives so foot traffic from every direction will catch a glimpse
  • Keep the messages short and succinct; you only have a brief moment to get your point across – make it counts
  • Use bright or pastel colors like pink, blue, white and yellow
