Our objective when visiting campus is always to have respectful conversations with students about abortions. Unfortunately, not everyone champions free speech and open dialogue.
Students for Life of America (SFLA) Pacific Northwest Regional Coordinator Allison Clements and Campus Formation Coordinator Mia Akins visited the University of Washington-Bothell with the Planned Parenthood Cemetery of Innocents Display. The display has 1,102 pink crosses, representing each preborn Life ended by Planned Parenthood every single day.
Allison and Mia had not even put out all the crosses when students began gathering to talk. Most were respectful and curious about the display. But two young men came up to the table, making jokes, saying, “Oh, is there where we can get abortions?”

While Allison and Mia were talking to a university employee, the student went over, grabbed a stack of crosses, and hurried into the student center. Allison immediately asked the student to return the crosses, which he ignored, and continued walking into the student center.
Mia followed the student inside, repeatedly asking him to return the crosses. Rather than complying, the student decided to hide in the bathroom. Other students noticed the scene and joined Mia. When the student eventually left the bathroom, the group of students joined Mia and asked him to return the crosses. Even after being warned that campus security had been alerted, the student still refused to return the crosses for several minutes, until he eventually returned them.
Too many pro-choice people have this mindset. Rather than engaging in respectful dialogue, they can silence pro-life people by harassing them.

Students for Life is no stranger to theft and harassment on campus. At a Cemetery of Innocents display at Middle Tennessee State University just a few weeks ago, a sign was stolen.

When pro-choice people can’t come up with logical arguments to actually defend the atrocity of abortion, they resort to toddler-like tactics in an attempt to dissuade us from visiting campuses. But doing so just further exposes the ugliness of the pro-abortion side.
