Missionaries for Life Program Begins
Monday, June 6th, 2011June 6 marks the beginning of our Missionaries for Life program! Ten students will come to Washington, D.C. to work in the pro-life movement for nine weeks–three at SFLA headquarters, three at another pro-life organization, and three weeks on Capitol Hill! We can’t wait to bring in these young pro-life leaders and watch them grow intellectually, and in their passion for defending human life.
Pennsylvania Statewide Conference
Saturday, April 30th, 2011Students for Life of America and Eastern University Students for Life are hosting a Pennsylvania statewide conference for all students interested in improving their pro-life presence on campus! Michigan Activism and Training Weekend!
Saturday, April 9th, 2011At the annual Activism & Training Weekend, college students from across the state come together to engage in a weekend of pro-life activism and leadership training. This event is unique because students have the opportunity to share ideas and connect with other Students for Life clubs all while promoting life on Grand Valley’s campus. In the training portion of the weekend, students will learn skills such as recruitment, event planning, and fundraising. The focus of the this year’s training is to help Students for Life clubs transition leadership and plan for a successful fall semester. Break for Life: A Student-Oriented Pro-Life Conference
Saturday, April 9th, 2011This conference is open to everyone, but will be primarily oriented towards high school and college students. The conference will include speakers, workshops, hands on projects, and social time. Participants will be coming from Buffalo, Syracuse, and all points in between. Topics will include “The Scientific Proof of Life Beginning at Conception,” “Making the Case for Being Pro-Life,” “What Can I Do If I Find Out A Friend Is Pregnant,” and “A Personal Account of Post Abortion Trauma.” Pizza and snacks will be provided. There will be a t-shirt design contest, a button design station, and a table for writing advocacy letters. Multiple organizations will be promoting volunteer opportunities as well.
