This fall, I toured the country, debunking the pro-abortion narrative on college campuses with my Students for Life of America (SFLA) “Abortion is Violence” speaking tour. Amid an election, my tour brought the truth to the left’s lies. However, as if to serve as a living example of my tour’s title, I faced extreme threats and violence at nearly every stop.
During my seven speaking engagements, I addressed how abortion violently ends a child’s life, how it harms the mothers who undergo the procedure, and how the pro-abortion movement supports violence against pro-lifers.
My tour took me to North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, California, and Washington. At every stop, protestors insulted me, debated me, and cursed at me. However, their actions only helped reinforce my message: the pro-life movement is rooted in love, truth, and peace, while the pro-abortion movement is built on hate, lies, and violence.
At each stop, I shared the biological fact that a preborn child is a living human being who meets all seven characteristics of life. I repeatedly challenged pro-choice individuals to provide a single credible biological source that disproved this, and every time, they left speechless. Through this tour, attendees saw that the pro-life movement stands firmly on the side of science.
One of the most notable stops on my tour was at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I set up a table and gave a speech. There, over 200 abortion supporters mobbed me, stole my belongings, told me to “die,” and threatened my life. I even shared my experience with the Daily Wire, writing:
“They say they support women, but only those women who agree with killing pre-born children, or perhaps men who identify as women who feel the same.
They want the freedom to spit, steal, and scream but don’t want Americans they disagree with to speak peacefully and engage in public discourse.
They say women should have the truth and resources to ‘make their own choice,’ but blatantly lie about miscarriage care, Chemical Abortion Pill side effects, and fetal development.”
Despite all the chaos and bad arguments, including a protestor’s arrest, I changed students’ minds by engaging in peaceful conversation and allowing the pro-abortion movement to reveal its violent nature to everyone present.
It wasn’t only pro-abortion students who tried to obstruct my efforts—pro-abortion administrators also proved to be a significant challenge as I fought for my right to free speech on college campuses. At Christopher Newport University in Virginia, a pro-abortion faculty member interrupted me constantly while I tabled, saying, “If people are having abortions, that’s totally up to them. That’s between them and God.”
At the University of La Verne in California, the administration banned SFLA from filming my speech on the day of the event—another instance of being deprived of our free speech rights. Despite these setbacks, I remained undeterred and peacefully changed people’s minds at both locations.
My last tour stop at Winthrop University featured one of my favorite interactions. A pro-choice woman approached me and said, “If I want to f*cking kill it, I’ll kill it.” I calmly responded with kindness and truth, explaining that ending a child’s life is never justified and that the pro-life movement actively supports mothers throughout pregnancy. By the end of our conversation, her tone had changed entirely, and she admitted, “Maybe I need to do more research.”
This is just one of many mind-changing interactions I had with hundreds of students throughout my tour. As a member of Gen Z, I’m passionate about defending my generation from the abortion industry, which targets young people as one of its primary demographics. This tour allowed me to share the truth and debunk the lies young women are told—that we need the right to end the lives of our children to be equal to men. No matter how many times pro-choicers attempt to silence my voice, I’ll continue speaking up for the voiceless humans in the womb and spreading the truth that abortion is, indeed, violence.
Stay tuned for the spring, when I head back on tour once again, triggering abortion supporters with logical and scientific facts.
