“History shows that when righteous causes face persecution and discouragement, they don’t fade: they grow stronger. That’s exactly what we’re witnessing with the Pro-Life Generation,” said Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America. “Our team and students unite for preborn children, and the impact speaks volumes.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-17-2025)— In a time when free speech is under siege and pro-life students face escalating hostility from the Left, Students for Life of America (SFLA) has shattered expectations, growing to more than 1,600 active student groups across the country. This explosive expansion marks a courageous stand against censorship, intimidation, and violence aimed at silencing the Pro-Life Generation.
This number, along with other impressive statistics, reflects more than growth. It represents resilience. Students for Life has:
- Trained 239,161 pro-life activists since 2006.
- Changed 418,049 minds since 2019.
- Engaged in 3,533,244 online and in-person conversations since 2019.
- Created $29,588,895 in-kind volunteer service value to families last year
- Generated $1 billion in earned media in 2024
Even before Charlie Kirk’s tragic assassination, SFLA team members and student leaders had endured relentless attacks on free speech and physical safety. SFLA continues to surge during the 2025-2026 academic year, building on last year’s accomplishment of being present on nearly half of all traditional four-year colleges. Today, SFLA proudly maintains a presence on:
- 49% of traditional private and Christian colleges.
- 59% of traditional public colleges and universities.
“Our students rise to the challenge, even under the weight of attack and discouragement,” said Hawkins. “They persevere. Every new group, every changed mind, every conversation is a victory against the forces trying to erase our voice. The Pro-Life Generation is here to stay, and we’re louder, stronger, and more determined than ever.”
BACKGROUND:
As Leftist institutions attempt to suppress pro-life speech, SFLA continues to thrive, empowering students to seek truth, defend Life, and build a culture of courage and conviction. A few examples of SFLA standing firm in the face of violence and intimidation include:
- Harvard University: A woman flipped over the SFLA table outside the Harvard Science Center after a brief accusatory exchange with students.
- University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC-Asheville): A male student, Adrian Miguelez, vandalized a Think Before You Drink tour table that highlighted the environmental impact of Chemical Abortion Pills.
- Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU): A student vandalized a Cemetery of the Innocents display representing the number of preborn lives lost daily to abortion.
- Mesa, Colorado: During a peaceful protest as a part of our “Stop Pharmacy Abortions” Week of Protests outside of a Walmart, a woman physically ripped signs from students’ hands, striking one student.
- George Washington University: Students mocked Charlie Kirk’s assassination, with some claiming he “got what he deserved” during the launch of Kristan Hawkins’ Abortion is Oppression fall tour.
- VCU & Florida Pro-Life March: SFLA spokesperson Lydia Taylor Davis was mobbed by abortion extremists and Antifa members during her tour stops.

PLG includes Students for Life Action (SFLAction), a 501c4, along with its 501c3 sister organization, Students for Life of America (SFLA), that together make up the nation’s largest, pro-life youth organization, managing a grassroots political and policy operation engaging Americans of all ages but with a special emphasis on the largest segment of voters — the Youth Vote. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA, PLG/SFLA/SFLAction serves more than 1,500 groups on middle, high school, college, medical, and law school campuses in all 50 states. Our team has more conversations with this generation targeted by the abortion lobby than any other pro-life operation in the world, each week reaching more than 4 million across social media platforms and averaging 1.3 million video views. In addition to SFLA/SFLAction, PLG leads multiple initiatives to lead and serve the future of the pro-life movement including the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, Standing With You, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement . Over more than 17 years, PLG CEO Kristan Hawkins has grown the operation into a more than $20M organization, now preparing for an abortion-free America.
