Seeing how abortion directly affects our community and those around us inspired me to take an active part in the pro-life movement. It is not possible to be a witness to the horrors of the abortion industry and sit back and watch. My first experience as a pro-lifer involved watching a woman walk into the local Pittsburgh abortion facility to receive Chemical Abortion Pills. After witnessing the pain and hurt caused by the abortion industry for both the baby and mother, I knew I needed to be an active advocate for Life.

In less than two years, I have become all-in for the pro-life movement. It started with me volunteering for Let Them Live and then joining the NLC as a Students for Life Action (SFLAction) State Captain. After being a part of NLC last year and seeing the impact it had on me, I knew I wanted to come back to learn more and understand how we can end abortion and empower women. This past summer, I interned for National Right to Life and helped grow their TikTok followers from 60 to more than 1,000. Social media is critical and a huge part of my conversion story, so I understand the necessity for pro-lifers to spread the loving message of Life online. This is why I wanted to apply as a spokesperson this year, to grow and continue changing hearts and minds online.

As a spokesperson, social media plays a crucial role in what I do. This past month, I spoke at a Pro-Life India webinar on the importance of social media in the pro-life movement. As an Indian, it matters what happens to preborn children in the place where my parents grew up. Through this webinar speaking opportunity, I equipped over 50 young pro-lifers in India to utilize social media to change hearts and minds worldwide.
SFLA is amazing at equipping pro-lifers not only to grow in knowledge but also to grow in confidence to build a culture of Life. I am excited to continue with this growth this year through mentorship and conversations with other amazing and driven NLC fellows.
