Aiden Strobel, one of the National Leaders Collective’s (NLC) leaders of the month, is a senior at Marquette High School in Missouri and a part of the Thaddeus Stevens Fellowship.

The NLC is for high school or college students interested in pursuing and working in the pro-life movement. Strobel is one of those students who gained the confidence to speak out on pro-life issues at his high school and community. Learn more about Strobel’s pro-life activism below:

The pro-life movement drew me in because no one should be able to use a position of power or privilege to hurt others, which is exactly what abortion does to preborn children. Not only are babies violently killed through starvation or dismemberment from abortion, but mothers are also coerced into getting abortions, which can result in significant injury and even death.

Even though I was passionate about the pro-life issue, I wanted to do more, so I applied for the NLC to get more involved in the pro-life movement. When I got the application email, I was excited about possibly being chosen for this program.

NLC gave me the tools to match my passion and grow as an effective pro-life leader. I have learned more in-depth apologetics, how to effectively lead, how to deal with pushback, and much more. Not only have I learned valuable lessons, but I have also become a more confident person. Before the NLC, I was nervous when presenting in front of my group or going out to knock on doors. Now, I’m well-equipped to be a confident pro-life leader and address arguments or doubts from pro-choice or uneducated Americans.

My top three pro-life accomplishments from 2024 so far are:

1. Starting my SFLA group at my high school. This was a massive victory because SFLA’s legal team became involved due to our school administration originally denying us the right to start a pro-life club

2. Going to the Missouri State Fair for my public policy project. At the fair, we talked to over 350 people and informed them about the extreme ballot measure, Amendment 3, on the ballot this coming November, which would allow for abortion until nine months of pregnancy.

3. Being nominated for one of the top three new groups of the year.

My experience in this program so far has been very rewarding because I have grown not only as a leader but also as a person. I am most excited for my group to attend the National Pro-life March in Washington, D.C., this year!
